Trying the New Plant-Based Sweet Earth Awesome Burger! #AwesomeForAll

Today I am so excited to be working with Sweet Earth on this sponsored post to share news about the launch of the brand new, plant-based, Sweet Earth Awesome Burger! I know food isn’t a usual topic here on Logical Harmony, but it’s something I am bringing back and will be adding in more content around. Food has always been a huge part of my life. I love to cook and I love sharing food with those I care about. One meal I have memories of growing up are burgers.

I think a lot of us have memories of burgers fresh off the grill on warm summer days. On cold autumn nights when we weren’t just quite ready to embrace the dropping temperatures. Or in chilly winters as a way to remember summer days. I think plant-based burgers are something that can be enjoyed year round.

If you’re not yet familiar with Sweet Earth, they make vegetarian and vegan-friendly foods using plant-based meats. They have had other veggie burgers in their product lineup for a while, and with the launch of the new Awesome Burger they are changing the game.

This plant-based burger not only has 26 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber, but it is cholesterol free and made using Non-GMO ingredients. The typical beef burger patty contains less protein, no fiber, and about 25% of your daily recommended cholesterol intake. For those who are curious, the Awesome Burger uses pea protein to pack that kind of protein punch. It also has SO much flavor!

How does it taste? How well does it cook? Does it truly make an Awesome Burger?

Sweet Earth sent me some patties ahead of launch so I could try them out and I’m going to be sharing all of my thoughts in this post. The flavor is truly unlike any other plant-based burger I’ve tried and I’m really excited to share more about the Sweet Earth Awesome Burger with you!

Just to clarify for those who are curious, when Sweet Earth says plant-based they mean it. There are no animal ingredients of any kind in this burger. And it’s not one of those veggie filled burgers either. While veggie burgers definitely have a time and a place in my kitchen, I love the taste, smell, and feel of a classic meaty burger. I stopped eating beef well over a decade ago but sometimes I do miss the feel of a classic burger.

The Sweet Earth Awesome Burger cooks up really well. It smells so good when it’s cooking and has a subtle sweet smokey scent. It gets that outer crust on the burger patty and stays a bit pink in the center.  The patty itself is the perfect blend – it’s not too dry and has the perfect amount of juiciness. It’s not heavy or oily and doesn’t feel too much on my stomach like some other plant-based burgers do. The Awesome Burger is hearty and holds up well no matter how many toppings you add to it.

Okay, so what is the Awesome Burger like? Is it just another veggie burger?

It’s been interesting to see how the world of plant-based burgers has changed over time. From veggie filled and grain-based to new meatier alternatives. Todays plant-based burgers are so different from what many think of and from the burgers in the past. The Awesome Burger especially.

This plant-based burger is far different from typical veggie burgers. It’s meatier in texture, smell, and taste than other burgers I’ve tried. And I’ve tried just about all of them. So much so that if I didn’t make it myself but was served it at a friends house, I would question if they gave me a real beef burger instead of the Awesome Burger. I think it’s a great option for those new to a plant-based diet or if you’re just trying to add in more plant-based options. Give it a try on your next Meatless Monday and see how it is for yourself!

How can you cook the Sweet Earth Awesome Burger?

You can cook it up on the stove top or throw it on the grill. We cooked ours on the stove top and served it with some classic waffle fries. I can’t wait to try it on the grill next summer. It’s going to be such a great addition to our plant-based BBQs. It reminds me so much of burgers I had growing up and I love the nostalgia of that.

Best of all, you can pile the Sweet Earth Awesome Burger high with your favorite burger toppings. I love adding classics like onion, lettuce, and tomato. I also love adding in fun additions like fry sauce and raw fermented sauerkraut (our favorite is using the recipe from It’s Alive). The flavor of the burger patty always stands out on its own and everything seems to compliment it. It’s also good with classic fries on the side, but you could easily do a salad, sweet potato fries, or buffalo cauliflower to change it up.

Where can you find the Awesome Burger?

This burger patty is available in stores that you already shop at. You don’t need to make any special trips out of your way to get your hands on it. It’s launching in Fred Meyer, Safeway, Ralph’s, Wegmans, HyVee and a handful of others with more stores on the way. Check out the Sweet Earth Awesome Burger landing page as they are currently sharing a coupon for the burger too!

I think we’ve found our new favorite plant-based burger and I cannot wait until it’s something I can pick up in stores near me. It tastes truly awesome and I am hooked. Sweet Earth did an amazing job with the Awesome Burger and I am so excited to hear how you like it.
