The Ultimate Cruelty-Free Deodorant Guide

A lot of people struggle to find cruelty-free deodorant. I often see the same handful of cruelty-free deodorant suggestions over and over again, but there are actually a surprising amount of cruelty-free deodorant options out there. From a classic stick deodorant formula, pots of deodorant cream, deodorant wipes, spray deodorant and everything in between there are lots and lots of options. In this post, I break down the cruelty-free brands that offer different kinds of cruelty-free deodorant.

It can be hard to navigate which deodorants are cruelty-free. Hopefully, this guide will help you find the best cruelty-free deodorant for you!

The following brands are all cruelty-free and offer cruelty-free deodorant. While they are cruelty-free, some of these brands do offer deodorant or other products that are not vegan, so be sure to read ingredients before purchasing. Brands that are 100% vegan are noted.

Cruelty-Free Deodorant Sticks:

These are cruelty-free versions of the classic deodorant stick. Most cruelty-free deodorant sticks are solids, but some can be a bit creamy at higher temperatures depending on the ingredients used.

  • Blissoma Scentless Stick Solid Natural Deodorant (travel size)

Cruelty-Free Deodorant Sprays:

Powder deodorants are a preference for some because they are very easy to travel with and can be helpful in humid climates.

  • Honeybee Gardens Deodorant Powder
  • Lush The Greeench
  • Lush The Guv’ner

Cruelty-Free Deodorant Primers:

This is a relatively new product, and it claims to help how effective your deodorant is and help prevent skin irritation.

  • Meow Meow Tweet Underarm Primer

Cruelty-Free Antiperspirants:

A lot of people want not just a cruelty-free deodorant, but also a cruelty-free antiperspirant. These are definitely harder to come by, but there are still a few options out there for you.

  • Certain-Dri Roll-On Antiperspirant – It should be noted that they are cruelty-free, but their parent company is not.

There are probably more cruelty-free deodorant brands out there that I may have missed. Please leave a comment and let me know if you see a cruelty-free brand missing from this list!

What is your favorite cruelty-free deodorant? What kind of formula do you prefer? What brands and formulas have worked best for you?

    Hello,
It’s not Logical harmony approved yet, however there’s this brand Love, Beauty, and Planet at Target.
They claim to be plant based, vegan, no aluminum, and other things.
I’ve been using the murumuru butter and rose. It’s a really good one I think, just have to reapply through the day.

Again, it’s no where on the site. I do believe it’s a newer brand.

Unfortunately, they have told myself and others that they do test on animals when required by law. Because of this, I don’t consider them to be cruelty-free and they have been on the Brands to Avoid list for some time.

I swore by primal pit paste, but then got a baking soda allergy. I am now using meow meow tweet baking soda free paste, but still get irritated. I will have to check into the primer!

This is so useful! I’ve been on the lookout recently for more cruelty-free deodorants so hopefully many of these are available in the UK. 🙂

i started geting irritation after using an expensive stick for a couple of years, and someone recommended ‘crystal essence’ roll-on in vanilla jasmine scent as a great cruelty-free option that works for them. i have found it at walgreen’s and on amazon. i’ve tried that scent and their ‘lavender and white tea scent. They really work! that epensive stick wirked so-so but these give me superior odor control and they are inexpensive and easy to find. i love the wipes too. i’ll use one at night, just to freshen up, esoecially in the summer. i don’t usually even need to, but it feels so good and cooling before bed. i don’t even re-apply the roll-on after that, and in the morning, no stink! i hope these keep working for me! they are the ones listed above as ‘crystal.’ i haven’t tried the stick, so i don’t know how that works, but the scented roll-ons and wipes wirk great for me.
