Many Logical Harmony readers ask for help finding good drugstore products that are both cruelty-free and vegan. Many people assume that it is hard to find cruelty-free brands available at drugstores. Thankfully there are more brands than people realize.
That’s why I decided to create this list of cruelty-free drugstore brands. This guide includes brands that offer cruelty-free and vegan beauty items and can be easily found at drugstores or large chain stores such as Target, Ulta, CVS, Walgreens, and more! Drugstores are starting to carry more natural brands and more cruelty-free brands. It’s exciting to see that they recognize the demand for cruelty-free drugstore brands to be carried and are making these options easier to find.
Editor’s note: This is an updated guide of one that was originally created in January of 2013. While I have kept this list updated, I wanted to update the date on it because so many people still struggle to find cruelty-free drugstore brands.
I am writing this post and feeling so discouraged about this change. It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know that Method, a brand that many of us have used and trusted for years, is no longer cruelty-free. Method is well known for making a variety of household and cleaning products that, for years, have been cruelty-free and all vegan.
A couple of weeks ago, I posted that Ecover had changed their stance on animal testing and was no longer cruelty-free. After years or not testing, the brand had decided to begin testing on daphnia, a small kind of water flea. Ecover is the parent company of Method, and I was assured by US and UK teams that Method was staying cruelty-free and this change was happening only with Ecover line. Sadly, this has now changed.
A couple of months ago, EO Products sent me some of their aromatherapy essential oils to try out. I have been using essential oils for years and always love trying out new brands and new scent blends. Since they sent me some oils, I have also picked up a couple on my own. A local store has a large selection of essential oils from EO Products and it’s been nice to smell the whole range. Because I do get a lot of questions about essential oils, I wanted to share my favorite essential oils from EO Products with you.
Snapwhite is a cruelty-free and vegan teeth whitening system that promises to whiten teeth up to ten shades in as few as seven treatments. When they sent me their whitening kit and pen to try out, I was very intrigued. I have used natural methods to lighten my teeth in the past but haven’t used a whitening system since going cruelty-free and vegan with my beauty routine. I used their kit and whitening pen and saw amazing results!
