Many Logical Harmony readers ask for help finding a cruelty-free mascara. For many people who transition to a cruelty-free beauty routine, finding a good cruelty-free mascara can be one of the hardest parts. Many of us are picky about mascara and know what we want from a formula. Some of us want length, others volume, maybe a mascara that targets the lower lashline, or something that’s water-resistant. Figuring out which cruelty-free mascaras to try? That can be a totally different story. There are so many cruelty-free mascaras out there.
That’s why I decided to create this cruelty-free mascara guide. There are so many cruelty-free mascaras out there to try. All the brands listed do make vegan mascaras but may make some non-vegan mascaras as well. Where I can I mention specific vegan formulas.
Many Logical Harmony readers ask for help finding a good foundation that is both cruelty-free and vegan. Many people assume that it is hard to find cruelty-free foundation or vegan foundation, but it is actually a lot easier than you may think! In fact, it can be a little overwhelming once you realize all the options that are available. Whether you’re looking for a BB Cream, Tinted Moisturizer, Cream Foundation, Liquid Foundation, Powder Foundation… There are lots of vegan and cruelty-free foundation options!
That’s why I decided to create the Cruelty-Free Foundation Guide. This guide includes brands that offer cruelty-free and vegan BB creams, CC creams, serum foundations, liquid foundations, mineral foundations, and powder foundations.
I’m back with another cruelty-free beauty haul! It has makeup, skincare, and even some food products. This was filmed a couple of weeks ago, so you have already seen some of the products used in other videos or blog posts. If there’s anything that jumps out at you as a product you’d love to hear more about, please leave a comment and let me know.
The launch of the 100% Pure Second Skin Foundation was highly anticipated by those in both the cruelty-free beauty and natural beauty spaces. It claimed to be a natural finish foundation that offered skincare benefits and buildable coverage. When it became available, I ordered it immediately to try out. In this post I not only review the foundation, but I also included a demo video where I show how it applies and how it wears over time on my skin.
Claims: “A serum foundation formulated with olive squalane, anti-aging antioxidants, pure fruit pigments and vitamins. Delivering adjustable coverage, a natural finish, and the look and feel of beautiful skin while delivering a noticeably brighter, more youthful appearance like nothing you’ve ever felt before. This skin-perfecting formula is as healthy as it is luxurious.”
You all know how much I love a good contour palette, but sometimes contour duos can be very hit or miss. I love my bigger palettes, but sometimes they are just too much to deal with. At the suggestion of Rhian from Wife Life, I picked up the Lily Lolo Sculpt & Glow Contour Duo to try out. It contains two shades in a hand sized, mirrored compact. Lily Lolo makes very nice cruelty-free mineral makeup, so I was curious to see how this contour duo worked.
Claims: “The skin-flattering bronzer makes for effortless contouring and comes in our easy-to-use, natural pressed formula. The light-reflecting highlighter can be used sparingly for a subtle, fresh daytime glow or intensified for a luminous, killer evening look. Long-lasting, skin-loving wear thanks to anti-ageing Argan oil and marine extract. Plus its vegan-friendly, fragrance and talc free.”
