Seasons changing means that your skin needs some serious TLC. I find that my skin tends to get dry and itchy as it the temperatures outside start to drop. A good moisturizer is a must-have for winter! When Kosia Naturals offered to send me their Butter’d Up body butter, I couldn’t resist. The body butter is a blend of shea butter, Moringa Oil, Argan Oil and Avocado butter. It’s such a lovely sounding combination and I was curious how my skin would react to it.
Claims: “All Butter’d up is not just for those with dry skin. Any skin problem, such as psoriasis, acne, dandruff or itchy scalp will benefit from its healing properties. It is also full of potent anti-aging properties and visibly diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, making skin supple, soft and clear.”
Ingredients: Butryospermum parkii (organic shea butter), organic Moringa Oleifera (moringa oil), organic Avocado butter, organic Argania Spinosa (argan oil)
Pros: Cruelty free and vegan. Fragrance free. Paraben free. Organic ingredients. Re-useable and recyclable packaging. Travel size container.
Cons: Slightly firm formula that is a little difficult to spread.
The Verdict: Butter’d Up was a really moisturizing and truly fragrance free body butter. I really liked the results of the formula. It took it a bit of time to warm up enough on my skin to be easily rubbed in. If you are used to traditional body butters, this product may not be what you are used to due to this. I didn’t use the product on my face, so I cannot speak to if it helped with fine lines there or not. However, I did see an improvement in the condition of the skin on my hands. I loved that this product is really concentrated, effective and multi-purpose. Thanks to the travel size, it’s found a permanent spot in my purse!
