Cruelty-Free & Vegan Foundation at Ulta:

There are a lot of cruelty-free brands at Ulta, but it can be a bit tricky to find the vegan foundation at Ulta. Lots of the cruelty-free brands have some vegan foundations, but many of these same brands also make some non-vegan foundations. Because of this, and because formulas may change over time, always check ingredients before you purchase.

What are my favorite cruelty-free foundations at Ulta?

I love using foundations and demoing them on my YouTube channel. I also post lots of mini-reviews on Instagram. I always want to see how they perform, how they work for my skin, and if they live up to their claims. Of the cruelty-free foundations sold at Ulta, I most often reach for Cover FX Natural Finish FoundationPacifica Alight Clean Foundation, Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation, Tarte Babassu Foundcealer, and Too Faced Born This Way Foundation.

  1. I just started using the ELF Flawless Finish foundation from ULTA earlier this week and love it! Before that I was using ULTA Demi Matte foundation for quite a while which was also great—I was just looking to try something new!

  2. Hi! This list is AMAZING! Quick question: PETA lists Bare Minerals Original as a vegan and cruelty free makeup on their site. Has their formula changed in 3 years, or did they mistype the article? https://www.peta.org/living/personal-care-fashion/vegan-makeup-must-haves-from-ulta/

Just been an avid BM user for years, and am finding it hard to make the switch to vegan beauty! Tried the Cover FX Natural Finish because of your blog, and loved it! This is so helpful! Thanks!
