Is BECCA cruelty-free? Yes!

Yes. BECCA is a cruelty-free brand. None of their products are tested on animals, at any point, by any parties. They also do not sell in any markets where animal testing is required by law.

While BECCA is cruelty-free, Too Faced is owned by Estée Lauder. Estée Lauder is not cruelty-free. I think everyone should decide for themselves how they feel about parent companies who test on animals. Supporting any cruelty-free brand is better than purchasing products from a brand that tests on animals.

Are any BECCA products vegan? Yes!

Yes. BECCA is not only cruelty-free but they also have some vegan options too. BECCA does use some animal and animal-derived ingredients in some products such as carmine, beeswax, and others. Below are options listed that do not contain any animal or animal-derived ingredients.

  1. Amazing! I can’t even tell you how much of an amazing resource Logical Harmony is to me. So glad the Undereye Brightening Corrector is, in fact, vegan 🙂 off to Sephora I go!

    Hi Tashina,
Becca released new violet shade primer called “first light filter face primer”.
I really want to try it, but, is it vegan or not? Please help. I’m wondering because the backlight priming filter is vegan. I hope the first light will be vegan too

  3. Hi Tashina,

Thankyou for sharing this comprehensive list of Becca products. I’m a vegetarian and hence can use products with milk, yogurt, cheese and any animal -derived ingredient in which the animal wasn’t killed or harmed. I.e. (beeswax, lanolin). I use the becca skin shimmering perfector liquid in moonstone and i want to know if its suitable for me (vegetarians).
    Kind regards

Hi Tashina, I’m wondering if you know if the becca ultimate coverage concealers crème is vegan. I can’t find a definitive answer on whether or not the squalane in it is from an animal or plant source. Thanks in advance for your help!

    1. I’m not yet sure. I’m waiting to hear back from BECCA about it still.

  5. When you click on the link to any of the shimmering skin perfectors and then refresh the page they all say they have Carmine in them. 🙁 They must have changed the ingredients recently.

    1. The ingredients haven’t changed! Carmine is listed under “May contain (+/-), which means that the shades may have this ingredient but not all do. This is so BECCA can use the same ingredient list for all of the shades. The shades listed here don’t contain carmine though. 🙂
