Is BECCA cruelty-free? Yes!

Yes. BECCA is a cruelty-free brand. None of their products are tested on animals, at any point, by any parties. They also do not sell in any markets where animal testing is required by law.

While BECCA is cruelty-free, Too Faced is owned by Estée Lauder. Estée Lauder is not cruelty-free. I think everyone should decide for themselves how they feel about parent companies who test on animals. Supporting any cruelty-free brand is better than purchasing products from a brand that tests on animals.

Are any BECCA products vegan? Yes!

Yes. BECCA is not only cruelty-free but they also have some vegan options too. BECCA does use some animal and animal-derived ingredients in some products such as carmine, beeswax, and others. Below are options listed that do not contain any animal or animal-derived ingredients.

  1. I was wondering about the “Poured creme” version of the Shimmering Skin Perfector. I checked the ingredient list and didn’t notice anything I knew to be animal-derived. Could you possibly confirm? Thank you so much!

  2. I’m curious if you know what ingredient(s) in the liquid shimmering skin perfectors make them not vegan? I didn’t see any of the usual suspects listed!

  3. Hey Tashina! For the Shimmering Skin Perfecter, did you mean “Champagne Pop” or “Rose Gold”? I don’t think there is a color called “Champagne Gold”

  4. Hi Tashina,
Do you know if the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop is vegan? Or is that the same thing as Champagne Gold listed above?

  5. Hi Tashina, looking at your list above then checking the ingredients next to the products on the Becca website some of the above do say they contain Carmine? I’m finding it very hard to find any eyeshadow sand blushes without carmine.

    1. Hi Stephanie,

Since the ingredient list for these products is for all shades (vegan or not), it does list carmine under “may contain”. It’s not in all of the shades though. The shades listed here do not contain carmine. 🙂

  6. Thanks for providing us with an in depth list! My question is regarding the under eye brightening corrector. On the ingredient list, it says it has squalane in it. Have Becca reps confirmed that this squalane is vegan and not from shark liver?
    Thanks bunches!
    Ali

    1. They have! Squalene can come from both plant or animal sources. In this case, it doesn’t come from animals. This list was created in partnership with Becca and includes all the items that they have confirmed are vegan at this time.

      1. Hi! I just wanted to confirm before I make my Becca purchase…Is the Under Eye Brightening Corrector vegan? I see that it’s on the list, but as Ali asked above, is the squalene it contains animal derived? You answered that the squalene in Becca’s products ARE from animals, so I’m just wondering why it’s on your list of okay products? Was it just a typo in your reply and it was supposed to say, “in this case, it DOESN’T come from animals?” Or, it being on the list is the typo? Also, I’m curious about the Ultimate Coverage Concealing Crème? It’s not on your list of vegan products (it also contains squalene)…Do you know if it’s vegan, or not? Thank you SO much!! I look to your website whenever I need accurate, concise info on whether or not a product is vegan/cruelty free. You’re awesome and if you’re what it means to be vegan, I’m proud to call myself a vegan too! Keep doing what you do!!!

        1. Hi Rachel,

That was definitely a typo. Thanks for catching that! I updated the comment to read correctly that in this case, it doesn’t come from animals. The Under Eye Brightening Corrector is vegan! I don’t know if the concealer is vegan yet. At first glance, it appears to be but I am still waiting for confirmation. I hope this helps! 🙂 Thank you so much for your support!
