This Essential Oil Free Skincare Brand is a Gamechanger for Sensitive Skin

When it comes to cruelty-free skincare, I get a lot of requests to share more skincare that’s great for sensitive skin and made from more natural ingredients. A lot of us want to take better care of our skin and it can be an overwhelming place to start just by looking for a cruelty-free brand or natural ingredients. Today I wanted to share my thoughts on cruelty-free and essential oil free skincare from Wabi-Sabi Botanicals. I’ve been trying a handful of products and wanted to share my thoughts on the brand and the products in specific with you.

Thank you so much to Wabi-Sabi Botanicals for sponsoring this blog post! Wabi-Sabi Botanicals is a Logical Harmony Approved cruelty-free brand and all of their products are also vegan-friendly.

Wabi-Sabi Botanicals started out of a need. Elysse, the founder and creator, struggled with having sensitive acne prone skin and finding products that worked for it. When nothing worked well, Elysse decided to make it happen and started formulating products that became the line up of products that exists today.

A lot of people seek out natural skincare for a variety of reasons. The most common seem to be having sensitive skin or stressed skin and wanting to avoid potentially irritating ingredients. Where many run into issues with natural skincare products when they need sensitive skincare is that many rely a lot on essential oils. These can also be an irritating ingredient and are something many people want to avoid in their cruelty-free skincare routine. If you have sensitive skin, essential oil free skincare is something you might want to focus on finding. Wabi-Sabi Botanicals is a completely essential oil free brand. Everything from them is also really affordable and all priced under $50.00 USD. You can also get 20% off your first order with code LOGICALHARMONY.

My skin is dry, which means that it’s also a bit prone to be sensitive as well. I have to be careful about introducing new ingredients and new products because some can be very drying. In the past, I’ve gotten extra dry areas, redness, texture, and other mild irritation from products. When my skin does have a reaction to a product it often takes days or longer for it to bounce back. Because of this, I have been extra interested in trying essential oil free skincare products and finding products with nourishing and gentle ingredients. This is also part of why Wabi-Sabi Botanicals and their products stood out so much to me.

Wabi-Sabi Botanicals focuses on the idea of 3 steps to glow. There are 2 skincare steps you can take to really help your skin. 1) Cleanse & Brighten 2) Tone & Hydrate 3) Treat & Moisturize. With this in mind, you can buy a 3 step starter kit or select individual products that you think would benefit your skincare routine the most.

I’ve added The Giver Illuminative Cleansing Oil & Makeup Dissolver, The Offering Probiotic Orange Blossom & Frankincense Toner, and the Age Gracefully Ageless Face Serum into my daily cruelty-free skincare routine. I have also added the Valley of Light Illuminative 2-in-1 Mask & Exfoliant and the Blemish Correct Soothing Serum & Spot Treatment to my routine as well and use them as needed.

The Giver Illuminative Cleansing Oil & Makeup Dissolver feels so luxurious and smells amazing. Thanks to the coffee arabica, it has a really soft and yummy coffee scent. I’ve used it as the first step in my nighttime routine to remove makeup and as a morning oil cleanse when my skin needed some extra TLC. It’s gentle, removes makeup easily, and leaves my skin feeling super soft.

Serum is one of my favorite skincare products and the Age Gracefully Ageless Face Serum is so nice! I’ve loved using it in my nighttime skincare routine as it’s actually a retinol alternative for sensitive skin. This was exciting to me because any retinols I have tried have been way too harsh for my skin, even when diluted. So far everything with the Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Age Gracefully serum is going well. It’s so lightweight and absorbs into my skin slowly over time. I’ve used it in combination with face rolling and loved how my skin felt. I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks, but I do feel like I have seen it start to make an impact on my skin. I have also had zero irritation from it.

Ingredients: Perilla Frutescens (Shiso) Seed Oil*, Caryodendron Orinocense (Cacay) Oil*, Coffea Arabica (Green Coffee) Oil*, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil and Lupinus Albus (Lupin) Seed Extract, Non-GMO Tocopherols (Sunflower-Derived Vitamin E). *Organically grown

If you need a really gentle exfoliating mask, the Valley of Light Illuminative 2-in-1 Mask & Exfoliant has you covered. I love that it’s a powder that you can mix with water. A lot of powder masks can be drying on my skin and this one isn’t at all. I have used it weekly and worn it for 10 minutes before rinsing. I love that it gently exfoliates and leaves my skin smooth.

While I do have dry skin, that doesn’t mean that I don’t have the occasional blemish. The Blemish Correct Soothing Serum & Spot Treatment has been so helpful. Since it helps to calm skin while treating blemishes, it’s not harsh or irritating on my skin like so many spot treatments are. I have used it as a spot treatment on a couple of occasions and it helped overnight.

Ingredients: Silybum Marianum (Milk Thistle) Seed Oil*, Supercritical Santalum Spicatum (Sandalwood) Seed Oil*, Brassica Alba (White Mustard) Seed Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil and Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Copaifera Officinalis (Copaiba) Resin Oil*, Supercritical Curcuma Xanthorrhiza (Temulawak) Root Oil*, Non-GMO Mixed Tocopherols (Sunflower-Derived Vitamin E). *Organically grown

Overall, I have been really impressed with the cruelty-free and essential oil free skincare I’ve been using from Wabi-Sabi Botanicals. I think that the values behind the brand are great and the skincare performs well. I love how beautiful the packaging is and that it all has worked well for me. I want to try more products from them and am excited to see how they work on my skin long-term!
