It’s time for my monthly favorites again! This month, I decided to share my Cruelty-Free October Hits & Misses so that you could see both the products that I am loving and some that I wasn’t very impressed by. This month it’s mostly makeup and haircare included in the video.
I am writing this post and feeling so discouraged about this change. It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know that Method, a brand that many of us have used and trusted for years, is no longer cruelty-free. Method is well known for making a variety of household and cleaning products that, for years, have been cruelty-free and all vegan.
A couple of weeks ago, I posted that Ecover had changed their stance on animal testing and was no longer cruelty-free. After years or not testing, the brand had decided to begin testing on daphnia, a small kind of water flea. Ecover is the parent company of Method, and I was assured by US and UK teams that Method was staying cruelty-free and this change was happening only with Ecover line. Sadly, this has now changed.
When it comes to the holidays, finding cruelty free and vegan gifts for everyone on your list can be tricky. Especially when not everyone you know uses only cruelty free and vegan items. I teamed up with Rhian from Wife Life and Leticia from xoLoveLeti to bring you my own last minute vegan holiday gift guide! My focus was trying to find gifts that everyone would love, and products that would show everyone how awesome cruelty free can be. Because it’s a gift guide, there is also a fun giveaway within the video and post!

Take a peek at the cruelty free and vegan beauty products I used up in November! I t’s been a while since I filmed one of these, so this is extra long. These videos are fun because you get to see what I actually use up and hear my final thoughts on the products. Some are great and I would repurchase. Others? I won’t be buying again and don’t suggest others try out. Included in the November 2015 empties video are makeup, skincare, and hair care.

As soon as the leaves start to change color many of us, myself included, love to break out the seasonal candles. Having your home filled with the scent of cinnamon, apples, pumpkin spice, and other fall scents just feels so cozy! Unfortunately some of the most popular candle brands out there aren’t cruelty free. I have done a lot of browsing and shopping and have narrowed down my list of favorite vegan candles for fall. These are the candles that I will be burning in my home this fall and winter.
