Petit Vour January 2015 Beauty Box Review

The Petit Vour January 2015 Beauty Box was co-curated by Emily of My Kind of Life. I had seen a few sneak peeks of the contents of this box and was so curious about what would be in it. I feel like each month the boxes from Petit Vour just get better and better. They are always finding new brands and I am constantly introduced to new products that I would not find otherwise.

For those who are not yet familiar with Petit Vour, they offer a monthly beauty box. Everything inside the Petit Vour beauty box is cruelty free, vegan, and natural. I give a quick review of all the items included in the box in this post. Look for more detailed reviews of each individual product soon!

100% Pure Hand Buttercream in French Lavender – After a long time on the Grey Area list, 100% Pure was finally able to give me a clear response and was added to the list of Cruelty Free Brands just before this box arrived. This is the first 100% Pure product that I have tried. During this time of the year, I need some serious hand creams around because my skin gets so dry. What I liked about this hand buttercream is that it absorbed quickly and it was effective in moisturizing my skin. My hands felt soft and smooth for hours. I don’t think this will replace my staple hand cream from Pacifica, but it is another great option to have around. You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

EVOLVh SmartStart Leave-in Conditioner – Products from EVOVLh have appeared in a previous Petit Vour box and I absolutely loved them! So when I saw this leave-in conditioner in the Petit Vour January 2015 beauty box, I was really excited about it. I just knew it would be amazing. And it was! I have very fine hair. Because of that, I get tangles very easily. I am always on the lookout for a treatment that will help keep my hair from tangling without weighing it down or getting greasy. This leave-in conditioner was absolutely perfect! I really cannot recommend it enough! You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

Modern Minerals Eye Shadow in En Pointe – Petit Vour had been posting teaser images hinting at a completely unique and it is a custom shade they had created with Modern Minerals. I love Modern Minerals products. Their shadows were also included in the July box that I co-curated, so I already knew that I would love this exclusive shade. En Pointe is a gorgeous rose gold. Scratch that. It’s the perfect shade of rose gold. This color is so incredibly beautiful! TIt would look great on any skin tone and is a shade that will work with any eye shadow look. You could pair it with neutral shades to amp up a natural look, or mix it into a smokey eye. This is definitely one of my favorite shades from Modern Minerals and my favorite item from the Petit Vour January 2015 beauty box. Like all other Modern Minerals eyeshadows it goes on smoothly, is blendable, and wears wonderfully. This eye shadow shade is exclusive to Petit Vour. You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

RawSkinCeuticals Creme Cheek Color in Rose** – Creme cheek color can be very tricky. It seems like it can either be great or terrible. Because of this, I was really curious to try out this product. I think it’s great that this blush is in a tub. This really lets you control how much product you are working with. The creme is super thick, very smooth, and very very pigmented. Definitely give it a few practice runs to get used to the pigmentation before working this into your daily makeup routine. The color is a really pretty and very natural rose shade. Because it is so pigmented, it is also very easy to build up the color. At first the color seemed a bit pale for me, but after a few minutes it warmed up to my skin and the color adjusted to a gorgeous natural flush. I really liked how this blush wore. It didn’t fade, cake or crease. This is definitely one of the best creme blushes that I have tried. You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

** While the brand RawSkinCeuticals is cruelty free and vegan, I do think it is important to note that they are currently supporters of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. I emailed the brand asking about this. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is opposed by Logical Harmony, Leaping Bunny, and PETA because it would require an increase in animal testing. After receiving my email, the brand has informed me that they are now debating their support of the Campaign. This post will be updated if this changes in the future.

Petit Vour January 2015 Beauty Box Review

Overall, I really liked the Petit Vour January 2015 Beauty Box. This box contained four products that will work for everyone. As always, all of the items included were great quality. I love how selective Petit Vour is with the brands they include. You can tell that so much thought (and love!) goes into creating each box. I was really happy with all of the items that were included! I am hooked on the EVOLVh Leave-In Conditioner and will definitely be using En Pointe by Modern Minerals on a regular basis.
