Out of Africa Shea Butter Body Oil in Grapefruit Review
In the warm summer months, I love a heavy duty moisturizer that will make my skin feel super soft. The problem with many of them is that they are just too heavy and end up leaving my skin feeling sticky. When I was given a chance to try the Out of Africa Shea Butter Body Oil in Grapefruit, I was interested to see how it would work out. I previously used their Shea Butter Lip Balm and was really pleased with the results. I have used a variety of body oils in the past and the results tend to vary.
Claims: “Our body oils contain pure, unrefined shea butter and are infused with avocado, sweet almond and olive oil. These oils will glide on smoothly and penetrate deeply into your skin without ever feeling greasy or sticky. Naturally rich in vitamins and antioxidants A, E, and F, they provide the ultimate nourishing, hydrating and anti-aging benefits. Your skin will feel incredibly soft and supple!”
Ingredients: Pure unrefined shea butter, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E, grapefruit oil
Pros: Fresh and natural grapefruit scent. Very moisturizing. Absorbs into skin quickly. No greasy feel. Paraben free. Sulfate free. Phthalate free. Cruelty free and vegan formula.
Cons: None.
The Verdict: Overall, I really enjoyed this body oil. I loved the scent! It smells like you just cut open a grapefruit, which is super refreshing and energizing. It moisturized well without leaving me feeling sticky or heavy. I’m not sure if I saw any anti-aging benefits like the claims mentioned, but with long-term use and the ingredients used I could see there potentially being some anti-aging benefits.
