LVX Nail Lacquer in Deco Review & Swatches
Finding fun and fresh polish colors can be a challenge. LVX is a cruelty free and vegan nail polish line that strives to bring the latest trends in fashion into the beauty world. They strive to bring seasonal colors to life in a way that also makes them timeless. I picked up a bottle of the color Deco – a cute coral shade from their summer 2013 collection.
Claims: “Long lasting, chip resistant, smooth finish-high shine, chemical free & non toxic.“
Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Triphenyl Phosphate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Diacetone Alcohol, Citric Acid, Benzophenone-1
Pros: Cruelty free and vegan. Formaldehyde free. Formaldehyde resin free. DBP free. Toluene free. Camphor free. Made in the USA. Color is very true to that in the bottle. Does not chip easily, even without a top coat.
Cons: Limited color shades in each collection.
The Verdict: This is one of my favorite polish shades! I also love the LVX formula. It holds up well, with or without a top coat. You also only need a couple of coats to get color that matches what’s seen in the bottle.
After trying LVX, I am interested in trying more of their shades. While the collections released each season are small, they are carefully curated. Each one contains great colors that are perfectly on trend, but also still hold up in later seasons.
Is there a good, cruelty free polish remover?
Hi!
I really like the removers from Zoya and No Miss. Both are cruelty free and vegan!
