Cruelty-Free Brand List Weekly Update

Cruelty Free Brand List Weekly Update

Did you know that the Cruelty-Free Brand List on Logical Harmony is updated every week? In an effort to make it easier for you to know what changes are happening, we are now publishing a weekly update. This lets you easily see what brands have been added to the list!

What will be included in these updates? Brands that have recently been added to the cruelty-free list, the grey area list, the brands to avoid list, and the pending brands list. An explanation of what being added to each list means is included below. Make sure to check out the full Cruelty-Free Brand List for even more cruelty-free brands!

New Cruelty-Free Brands – These brands are completely free of animal testing. They also either have vegan options or, if noted by “100% vegan”, are currently a completely vegan line.

  • Barefaced Beauty

New Grey Area Brands – Being on this list does not mean that these brands test on animals, but it also doesn’t necessarily mean that they are cruelty-free either. It means that we require additional information in order to add these brands to the cruelty-free section of the list. In these cases, Logical Harmony has asked these brands for that additional information or clarification but has not received it.

  • None!

New Brands to Avoid – These brands have a stance on animal testing that Logical Harmony is not comfortable with. This could mean that they test on animals, take part in required by law animal testing, work with 3rd parties or suppliers who test on animals, or that they do not ask or require their ingredient suppliers be cruelty-free. This can also mean that these brands will not provide any sort of animal testing statement about their current practices and policies. These brands are best to avoid because animal testing may be involved at some point.

  • Ecover (They previously used to test on daphnia, water fleas, but had stopped years ago. After being cruelty-free for several years, they have started testing on daphnia again. I am very sad to be adding them to the Brands to Avoid list.)
  • Renpure (Will only say that the raw ingredients they use and finished products are not tested on animals, but they do not require all ingredients from suppliers are CF.)

New Pending Brands – Logical Harmony has reached out to these brands at least seven days ago about their cruelty-free status and has yet to receive a response. We are constantly reaching out to brands but understand that it may take them longer than 7 days to get back to us.

  1. Argh if you go to the Renpure web page it states clearly they do not nor never have tested on animal’s only themselves . Please be careful and sue your full diligence before black listing A company .

    1. Hi!

I do due diligence and talk to the brand directly about a lot of aspects where animal testing could occur. While they may not be testing the finished products on animals themselves, they do not require that the ingredients they use be cruelty-free nor are they sure if their products are tested on animals during their formulation.

  2. Please send me a hard copy of these tested abs cruelty free products so that I may carry it with me, as I have no printer at this time. thank you Marilyn Holmes Williams

  3. Sad to hear that about Ecover 🙁 There is not too many cruelty free house cleaning brands available in Finland. Luckily there is still Method. I like Method anyway more than Ecover but not all Method products are available here. I have to order them from iHerb then
