COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation Review
Have you heard about the COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation? How does this vegan-friendly foundation wear? Does it live up to its claims? Let’s find out!
I gave the COVERGIRL Clean Fresh line a try and share my in-depth thoughts. COVERGIRL sent me the full collection to try out since it’s vegan and I had to put it to the test. Since the foundation is what I was most excited to try, and the product I have received the most questions about, I wanted to do an in-depth review of it. This foundation has some extremely mixed reviews and I wanted to give it a try on my dry skin.
I’m going to share all of my thoughts – the good, the bad, and… Well… The ugly.

Is COVERGIRL cruelty-free? Yes! COVERGIRL is cruelty-free!
COVERGIRL is a cruelty-free brand based on the Logical Harmony criteria for determining if a brand is Logical Harmony approved. There is no animal testing being done on COVERGIRL products at any point or on any ingredients used to make COVERGIRL products. COVERGIRL is owned by Coty. Coty itself is not cruelty-free. I believe that everyone should decide for themselves how they feel about parent companies. At the end of the day, I would rather people purchase from a cruelty-free brand with a parent company that is not cruelty-free than purchase from a brand who tests on animals themselves. I encourage everyone who supports cruelty-free brands to let COVERGIRL and Coty know that being cruelty-free is important to you.
Is the COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation vegan? Yes!
The COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation is vegan-friendly. It does not contain any animal or animal-derived ingredients. The entire Clean Fresh line is vegan-friendly as well.

My Thoughts about the COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation
The Pros
Light coverage. Easy to apply. Buildable.
The Cons
This foundation is strongly scented. It did not give a glowy finish. It was not long-lasting and the coverage became patchy. It also emphasized skin texture over time.
Will I use the COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation again?
Probably not. I have heard great things about this foundation from people with oily skin, but as someone with dry skin it did not work for me. The coverage was light as it’s intended to be, but at the end of the day it emphasized my texture and dry areas more than a very full-coverage matte foundation would. It did not give a glowy finish and got very patchy throughout the day. I would not describe it as dewy, long-wearing, or giving a blurring effect to skin. I am going to keep a couple of shades to try later on this summer to see if my skin reacts differently to it.
I am a bit frustrated that this was COVERGIRL‘s first branded vegan line. They have very few vegan products in general and I think this line could have been a way for them to show their regular customers, and those new to vegan-beauty, how vegan products perform well. They didn’t need to go with a light coverage product that was branded as natural that has very mixed reviews online. It would have been amazing to see them take one of their best-selling foundations and make a vegan version that compared in coverage, finish, and customer reviews.
