ColourPop Lumiere Lippie Pencil Review

Finding a good nude shade is one my main makeup quests. With so many nude shades, it is so hard to know what it will actually look like on you. So, like many others, I continue to buy them in hopes that it will be the absolute perfect shade.

One day I was watching KathleenLights on YouTube and just could not get over how gorgeous her lip color in that particular video was. Then I found out that it was her collaboration with ColourPop! I spent some time looking up the shade on Instagram. On some people, ColourPop Lumiere looks like a light pink, on others it’s a great classic nude, and on others it’s more of a brown shade. No matter what I have seen it look like on people, this shade is universally flattering. Lumiere comes in both a Lippie Pencil and a Lippie Stix formula.

Please note that ColourPop currently includes the same +/- ingredient listing for all of their products. This +/- list contains “carmine” as an ingredient. I have discussed this with ColourPop and they have confirmed that the only ColourPop products that contain carmine are a couple of Super Shock Shadows and Blushes. The following Super Shock Shadows are not vegan – Tea Party, Bae, Mittens, Lace, Lovey Dovey, Hunger, and Bubbly. The following Super Shock Cheek shades are not vegan – Thumper, Birthday Suit, Fox. All other products are vegan! They also keep an updated list of vegan options on their FAQ page.

Pros: Matches the Lumiere Lippie Stix perfectly. Very smooth and creamy formula. Amazing staying power. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formulas.

Cons: Not a self-sharpening pencil.

The Verdict: Overall, I am so impressed with this lip pencil. It is a gorgeous pinky nude and it is now one of my must-have items. Lumiere is on the darker scale of nude shades. This pencil is super creamy and smooth, but applies budge-proof color. It is so pigmented that you could easily get away with wearing just the lippie pencil alone. If you love nude lips, this is a great option for you.
