Self Love in a Shake with Naked Nutrition

While I normally talk about beauty products here on Logical Harmony, I think that taking care of our bodies through exercise and nutrition is also incredibly important. How we treat ourselves matters on so many levels. Making sure that we are getting ample nutrition from the food that we consume can also have an impact on your skin, hair, and nails. I also believe that self-care extends past just beauty products. I know that when I’m struggling mentally, it can be a challenge to eat or easy to end up eating processed food that leaves me feeling less than great physically. Having protein powders on hand that taste good can make a huge difference for me.

I am excited that Naked Nutrition has sponsored this blog post to share more about their vegan options. I’m sharing a bit about the two plant-based products I’ve been using and sharing my recent go-to smoothie recipe.

Self Love in a Shake with Naked Nutrition

Protein powder has been a kitchen staple of mine for years. When you’re busy, a protein shake can be a great way to supplement your diet. If you’re struggling with giving your body what it needs, they can also be a really easy way to make sure that you’re doing something healthy for yourself. The new Naked Nutrition Strawberry Banana Naked Shake takes the guesswork out of making a perfect tasting, fruit-filled vegan protein shake.

Everyone loves a freshly made fruit smoothie, either from a juice bar or right at home. While the juice bar or smoothie shop version tastes great, it’s pricey and often has high sugar content without offering enough of other nutrients that can benefit our bodies so much. At home, we have more control over the ingredients that go into them. You can create combos you love that taste great and, with the Naked Shake, are good for you too.

Naked Nutrition Strawberry Banana Naked Shake

The Naked Shake is available in two vegan flavors – Strawberry Banana Naked Shake and Peanut Butter Blueberry. I’ve been trying out the Strawberry Banana flavor. The base is the Naked Nutrition’s best-selling vegan pea protein powder and adds MCT oil and fruit juice powder. You can mix it with just water, your favorite plant-based milk, or add it to a smoothie.

I love the flavor of this one. It doesn’t taste artificial or chemically. I like that it’s not chalky or powdery tasting. It’s super easy to mix with just water, but I especially love it in smoothies for a more complete meal.

It contains 20 grams of vegan pea protein sourced from peas grown on small US and Canadian farms. It also contains healthy fats from MCT Oil and only has 5 grams of sugar. It’s GMO-free, soy-free, and certified Gluten-free. There are also no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors.

Naked Nutrition Naked Peanut Butter

The Naked Peanut Butter is made from Non-GMO peanuts. I love using powdered peanut butter to add to foods. It’s easy to add to oatmeal or a smoothie to give it a little protein boost. While that’s how it’s often used, don’t be afraid to get untraditional with it. You could mix it with some water, ginger, and garlic to create a sauce for steamed vegetables.

Naked Nutrition Strawberry Banana & Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

Lately I’ve been loving mixing the Naked Shake and Naked Peanut Butter together to create a Strawberry Banana & Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie. It’s super filling and full of healthy foods that keep me fueled no matter how busy I am. It’s also a great way to ensure that I’m taking care of myself on days where that might be a bit of a struggle otherwise.

My favorite way to make the Strawberry Banana & Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie is to combine:

  • Two scoops of Naked Protein
  • One scoop of Naked Peanut Butter
  • 16 ounces ounces liquid (I like to do half water and half plant-based milk)
  • 1 cup frozen fruit (I like a combination of pineapple, banana, and avocado)
  • 1 cup spinach

I blend the liquid, Naked Protein, and Naked Peanut Butter together first. This helps ensure it’s well blended on it’s own and that I won’t have any clumps. Then I add in the spinach and frozen fruit and blend until smooth. Add more water if more liquid is needed.
