Pacifica Devocean Lipstick Review

Recently Pacifica launched a line of color lipsticks called Devocean. This was an exciting new venture for them! While Pacifica has made lip tints and lip butters in various shades for years. Many Pacifica fans, myself included, were anxiously waiting to see if the expansion of makeup products would mean lipsticks. In the fall of 2014, Pacifica launched Devocean – their first lipstick line. I was given the line to try out and with complete honesty can say that this line is one of the best I have tried. It was worth the wait!

The Devocean Natural Lipstick line currently contains five colors – XOX, Tenderness, Rebel Sol, Firebird, and Natural Mystic. They are pictured in that order from top to bottom in the photo above.

Claims: “A full color, 100% vegan, hydrating natural lipstick that lasts with intensity, like the deepest love. Creamy hydration, highly pigmented, and chocked full of anti-aging benefits that nourish and love your lips.“

XOX is a gorgeous pink shade. It is not a pastel pink, but a pretty pink that is perfect for spring. It reminds me of spring flowers. For those who are not into nude shades, this is a great option. It is the pink version of a “your lips but better” shade.

Tenderness is the perfect nude lipstick. It is not too brown or too pink, and gives your lips a perfectly polished and finished look.

Rebel Sol is a great orange and pink coral shade. It has a nice tropical punch of color.

Firebird is a great shade of red. It is bold and bright, but not overwhelming.

Natural Mystic is a darker nude with more of a brown tint. It is spot on with recent color trends and such a unique color.

For this look, I applied a layer of Natural Mystic and topped it with Firebird.

This look is Tenderness applied over a balm. I am hooked on Tenderness and now have three tubes of this shade. I keep one in my purse at all times.

XOX is a pretty pink shade that can be easily blended out to a subtle pinky-nude.

Ingredients: oleic/linoleic/linolenic polyglycerides (from sunflower oil), butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, diiostearyl malate, caprylic/capric triglyceride (from coconut oil), simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) esters, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, euphorbia chinensis (candelilla) wax, cetyl alcohol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, flavor oil (all natural), tocopherol (vitamin E). May contain: melia azadirachta fruit extract, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, tin oxide, vaccinium macrocarpon fruit (cranberry) extract, coccinia indica flower extract, daucus carota sativa root (carrot) extract, lycopersicum fruit (tomato) extract, and beta vulgaris (beetroot) extract.

Pros: Very moisturizing formula. Creamy consistency. Easy to apply. Long lasting color. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula. Free of mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, petroleum, porpylene glycol, and SLS. Gluten free.

Cons: There are only five shades! I hope Pacifica expands this line!

The Verdict: The Devocean Natural Lipstick line is a must have collection for any beauty junkie. These lipsticks are simply amazing! They are as moisturizing as a balm, go on creamy smooth and keep your lips hydrated and soft. The colors are all gorgeous. I love wearing them on their own, but have also found that they mix well together to create new shades. Each shade is highly pigmented. I am hooked on this line. I loved all of the shades so much that I have already purchased backups for several of them because I do not want to run out.
