Franklin & Whitman Oak Lane Face Mask Review
With the change in the seasons, I always like to test out new face masks to see how they can help balance out my skin. Lately I have been using the masks from Franklin & Whitman on a regular basis. The Franklin & Whitman Oak Lane Face Mask is one that I have recently really fallen for. The mix of raw cacao, turmeric, activated charcoal and clay is such a unique blend of ingredients that are all known for being great for skin and removing impurities.
Claims: “This amazing, nourishing treatment makes your skin smooth, soft and supple. Featuring such powerhouses as organic raw cacao, turmeric, activated charcoal, and Moroccan Rhassoul Clay it will leave your skin feeling renewed and radiant. Our all-natural, preservative-free formula has the unique ability to both nourish skin and reduce breakouts.”
Ingredients: Rhassoul Clay, Theobroma Cacao, Curcuma Longa, Carbo Activatus
Directions: “Mix one to three teaspoons of powder and enough water (or your liquid of choice) in a non-metal bowl to form a thin paste. Apply a layer onto your damp face after cleansing, avoiding the eye area. Leave mask on for 5-15 minutes. Do not let the mask dry completely. To remove use a warm washcloth or rinse with warm water in circular motions to exfoliate. Follow with our Walnut Hill Face Serum for best results.“
Pros: Very gentle but effective. Helps pull impurities and blackheads from the skin without being too drying. Recyclable packaging. Available in two sizes. Cruelty-free and vegan brand.
Cons: None. There are other formulas geared towards other skin types, so if this isn’t the best fit for you another mask from Franklin & Whitman may be.
The Verdict: The Franklin & Whitman Oak Lane Face Mask is one of my current favorite face masks! I have combination dry skin, but with the change in seasons, my skin does tend to have more issues with impurities than normal. This mask has done wonders to help balance out and clear up my skin. It’s very gentle, so it doesn’t irritate the dry areas of my face, but also effective on my problematic areas. My skin feels very refreshed and clean after I use the Franklin & Whitman Oak Lane Face Mask.
I have used the mask mixed with water and mixed with the Walnut Hill Face Serum and really liked it both ways. If your skin is on the dry side, I would suggest mixing it with a serum. If your skin is more oily, I would mix it with water. They do sell combo packs of three different face masks, which is a great way to try them all and see which works best with your skin.
