EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner Review

I received the travel size EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner duo in the June Petit Vour beauty box. I had never heard of this brand before and was really curious to try it. Hair products are always tricky for me. I have naturally very fine hair and products often weigh it down. I read great things about the EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo and EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Conditioner combination online and was hoping that it would work with my hair type.

Shampoo Claims: Color safe and great for all hair types—from fine and flat to coarse and curly—this niche shampoo is beloved by discerning stylists. It balances hair’s pH level in order to leave it strong and silky. Actives like seaweed extract, mango, and apricot deliver crucial nutrients to thirsty strands, while amino and fatty acids restore hair from the inside out and provide anti-aging benefits.

Conditioner Claims: “The vegan and paraben-free formula is versatile enough to tame a spectrum of hair types, from straight to curly, and fine to superthick. It detangles and adds shine, and it’s also safe for chemically treated or colored hair. Actives include wild pansy, sweet clover, and apricot extracts, all of which contain nourishing antioxidants, plus amino and fatty acids which restore hair from the inside out and provide anti-aging benefits.

Shampoo Ingredients: Atmospheric Water, pHytoBlend (proprietary concentrate blend of 20 herbs in an aqueous base), decyl glucose, disodium sulfosuccinate, cocamidopropyl betaine, lauryl glucose, coco polyglucose, seaweed extract, citrus aurantifolia, mango, lecithin, sunflower oil, soya, safflower oil, wheat amino acids, vitamin C, wild pansy, sweet clover, apricot, nasturium, nectarine, passion flower, citrus seed extract

Conditioner Ingredients: Water, pHytoBlend (proprietary concentrate blend of 20 herbs in an aqueous base) stearylkonium chloride, glyceryl monostearate, palm oil, mango, lecithin, sunflower oil, soya, safflower oil, wheat amino acids, vitamin C, wild pansy, sweet clover, apricot, nasturtium, nectarine, passion flower, citrus seed extract.

Pros: Cruelty free and vegan formulas. Light and fresh scent. Good for all hair types. Safe for color treated hair. The shampoo had a lot of suds and a little conditioner went a long way.

Cons: The conditioner felt a little thin in my hair at first. This isn’t necessarily a con, but it takes some getting used to. I felt like I needed to use more product that I felt necessary but, once it was rinsed out, I realized that a little product goes a long way with this conditioner.

The Verdict: For starters, this shampoo and conditioner smell SO good! It’s a really soft scent that lasts for hours. It did a great job of moisturizing my hair without weighing it down. I have very fine hair and this is often a trouble area for me. Shampoos and conditioners that promise to hydrate just leave my hair limp and lifeless. This wasn’t the case with EVOLVh UltraShine. My hair felt incredibly soft and smooth. It was tangle free. And it had plenty of natural volume and texture! I have been using this product every wash since I first tried it and will likely purchase the full size products once these travel size samples are done.

The product sounds great but do you know where the palm oil is sourced for the conditioner? I don’t think I would using it as it may be supporting some deforestation. I hate to write a negative comment but I think it is an important issue people should be aware of.

      Hi Gemma,

I am not aware of where it is sourced, but I think that would be a good question for the brand. 🙂

I love the shampoo and conditioner! i have fine naturally curly (read frizzy) hair that is always flat. The day I used this combo I got so many compliments on my hair & all I did was blow dry it!! Will definitely buy the full size. Plus the smell… Oh my gosh it’s sooo good!
