Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator Review

Posted on Thursday - December 1, 2016 by Tashina Combs & Last updated on Wednesday - December 7, 2016 2 Comments

Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator Review

One of the most essential skin care products that is also the most overlooked is a good exfoliator. While there are a lot of chemical exfoliators on the market, there are also a lot of effective natural ones too. When I got a goodie package from Cocokind, I was immediately drawn to the Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator. I’ve tried plenty of natural exfoliators, but never one with sea moss before! I had to give it a try!

Claims: “Our USDA Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator gently polishes skin while delivering significant nutrition! Sea moss, also called Irish Moss, is a seaweed abundant in protein, beta-carotene, magnesium, calcium, and vitamins B and C. When massaged on face, organic sea moss finely exfoliates and nourishes skin, bringing out a natural radiance. Organic Irish Moss is an excellent source of minerals, protein, beta carotene, magnesium, calcium and vitamins B & C. Organic Grapeseed Flour is full of oligomeric proanthocyanidins, a bioflavanoid which is a rich antioxidant. Organic Geranium Oil is a natural and gentle astringent when applied to skin.”

Ingredients: Organic Irish Moss, Organic Grapeseed Flour, Organic Geranium Oil

Pros: Very gentle and effective. Left my skin feeling fresh and smooth. Very gentle nad not drying or irritating.

Cons: This isn’t necessarily a con but, as with most natural exfoliators it does have an earthy smell. If you’re not into that, this may not be the best one for you.

Is Cocokind cruelty-free? Yes. Cocokind is cruelty-free with vegan options.

Is the Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator vegan? Yes. The Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator is vegan.

The Verdict: The Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator is really lovely. I have tried it mixed with water and with serum. In both cases, it was very very gentle but worked really well. My skin felt so smooth after! Best of all, it didn’t irritate my skin at all. With the changing seasons, my skin has had a bit of a tough time adjusting. I have some extra dry spots and this exfoliator worked well to help smooth out my skin without drying it out even more. If you are looking for a new natural exfoliator to try, this is a great option!

Have you tried the Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator before? What did you think of it?

The Cocokind Organic Sea Moss Exfoliator is available from Cocokind and Target, and Amazon.

Wow, interesting! I wonder if this would have the same issues that people have with carageenan in food. I imagine that it wouldn’t since it’s mostly gastrointestinal problems people report, but I wonder if there are any trans-dermal effects.
