BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème Review

The BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème is a foundation that I was on the fence about for a long time. I like full-coverage foundations, but most of them don’t mix well with my combination, dry skin. More often than not, they accentuate the dry spots and have a finish that’s too matte for my skin. After reading the claims for this BECCA foundation, I was curious to try it out and see how it worked with my skin.

Claims: “A full-coverage yet breathable liquid foundation enriched with high concentrations of pigment and water. Conceal imperfections, redness, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture with this weightless liquid foundation. Ideal for any skin type, it is formulated with a balance of 21 percent pure pigment and 22 percent water, which work in synergy to completely soften the appearance of blemishes and uneven texture.”

Ingredients: Dimethicone, Water, Phenyl Trimethicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Peg/Ppg-18/18 Dimethicone, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polysilicone-11, Silica Dimethicone Silylate, Butylene Glycol, Isononyl Isononanoate, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Isododecane, Dimer Dilinoleyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Methicone, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Calcium Carbonate, Trihydroxystearin, Potassium Sorbate, Methylpropanediol, Disodium Edta, Caprylhydroxamic Acid. May Contain/ Peut Contenir [+/-]: Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77492 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77491 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides).

Directions for use: “For seamless application, apply one pump of cream to a well-hydrated face after moisturizer or primer is fully absorbed, using a brush to blend flawlessly. If you are between shades, choose the lighter shade because of the formula’s high pigment concentration.“

Pros: Pigmented formula. Non-drying. Blends out well. Provides lasting coverage all day. Natural finish. Cruelty-free brand. Vegan formula.

The Verdict: The BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème is one of my all time favorite foundations. It’s hard to find a full coverage foundation that works well with dry skin. One pump delivers plenty of coverage. This foundation is easy to blend to a natural finish with a beautyblender, a brush, or your fingers. It has a lovely natural finish that’s not too matte and not too dewy. The BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème really lasts through the day. It stays in place, doesn’t cling to any dry patches, and makes my skin look flawless all day long.
