In my 100% Pure haul video, I mentioned that I had picked up the 100% Pure Luminous Primer. I am always curious about natural primers because, let’s be real, they can be very hit or miss. I tried this primer with foundations from 100% Pure as well as some of my other favorites. I wore it with light, medium, and full coverage foundation to test out how it worked with several formulas as well.
Claims: “Light reflective pigments diffuse the look of lines and wrinkles and makes skin instantly appear more luminous, bright, healthy, and glowing. Infused with red wine resveratrol, vitamins and antioxidants to shield from free radical damage. For those desiring a luminous complexion and longer wearing makeup (if used prior to makeup application).“
Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Juice) Leaf Extract*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Jojoba Esters (Wax), Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Euphorbia Cerifera Cera (Candelilla Wax) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Organic Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Resveratrol, Silica, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower and Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Mica *Certified Organic
Pros: Very lightweight formula. Nourishes skin while priming it for makeup. Helps with application of foundation and helps with wear as well. Cruelty-free brand. Vegan formula.
Cons: Does not work as well as other primers do when it comes to the staying power of full coverage foundation.
The Verdict: The 100% Pure Luminous Primer is a really great primer for everyday use. It feels so smooth and light on the skin. It applies really easily and creates a nice base for makeup. I found that it worked best with light to medium coverage foundations, especially when it came to length of wear. My foundation went on smoothly and wore well in all cases, but I did notice full coverage foundation seemed to wear quicker than with other primers. The100% Pure Luminous Primer makes my skin feel really soft and I love that it’s nourishing my skin while I use it as a primer. It’s now a part of my regular primer rotation.
Have you tried the 100% Pure Luminous Primer before? What did you think of it?
