Own Refining Moisture Night Cream Review

Own Refining Moisture Night Cream Review

One of my favorite skin care products is a good night cream. It seems like no matter what issue my skin is having, night cream helps. I often tend to use it day and night for this reason. Thanks to iFabbo and Own Skin Care, I had a chance to try Own Refining Moisture Night Cream and review it for Logical Harmony readers. Own is certified cruelty free by Leaping Bunny and is certified vegan by Vegan Action – two certifications that you can always trust.

I was really excited to try out the Refining Moisture Night Cream. Especially after how much I loved the Lifting Eye Cream and the Firming Silk Concentrate serum from the same brand! A good night cream that does everything it claims is hard to come by these days. So many simply don’t live up to their expectations. When you find a good one, it’s worth sticking with for a while.

Claims: “Hydrate and illuminate your skin nightly with a luxurious formula designed to fight all three causes of aging while you rest… Own Anti-Aging Refining Night Cream features clinically proven CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) technology, a plant-based ingredient designed to enhance collagen levels, improve moisture retention, and boost metabolism for softer, smoother, and genuinely younger-looking skin.”

Ingredients: Water (Eau), Pelargonium Gravolens Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Glycolic Acid, Coco-Caprylate, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes*, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil Dimethicone, Squalane, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopherol, Conjugated Linoleic Acid*, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Hydrogenated Palm Gycerides, Sclerotium Gum, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Lecithin, Carnosine, Silybum Marianum Fruit Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Germ Extract, Bisabolol, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol

*CLA Patented Plant Technology™, not from an animal source. While the product name includes the word silk, this is not an ingredient in the serum. None of the ingredients used are animal derived. This product is certified vegan.

Pros: The cream wasn’t too light or too heavy, and definitely isn’t greasy. It absorbed quickly.

Cons: The smell is a bit odd, but it’s not strong and easy to get used to.

The Verdict: Just like all the other products from Own that I have tried, I really loved this one! It worked wonders on my skin. I could see visible overnight improvement in the tone and smoothness. Plus, it left my skin feeling super moisturized. Especially when layered over the serum. I don’t have any wrinkles, so I can’t speak to if it would improve those. I am, however, a huge believer in preventative skin care and can see this night cream being great for that.

If you’re looking for a new night cream, I would definitely give this one a try. As well as the entire Own skin care line!

Own Firming Silk Concentrate Review

Own Firming Silk Concentrate Review

It seems like serums are the current It Skin Care product. Every magazine and beauty blog is talking about serums and how amazing they are for your skin. Thanks to iFabbo and Own Skin Care, I had a chance to try Own Firming Silk Concentrate and review it for Logical Harmony readers. Own is certified cruelty free by Leaping Bunny and is certified vegan by Vegan Action – two certifications that you can always trust.

I was curious to try out the Firming Silk Concentrate serum. Especially after how much I loved the Lifting Eye Cream from Own. With all the buzz about how amazing a serum is to add to your routine, going into summer seemed like the perfect time to give it a try as well. It’s important to evaluate and adjust your skincare routine as the seasons change. This also makes it a great time to add new products into your skin care routine.

Claims: “Visibly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles for more vibrant skin… a power-packed serum that’s proven to absorb easily without leaving a residue. Works with your own body’s chemistry to reactivate healthy processes and rebuild the skin’s structures for brighter, taut, and genuinely younger-looking skin.”

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Coco-Caprylate, Conjugated Linoleic Acid*, Tocopherol

*CLA Patented Plant Technology™, not from an animal source. While the product name includes the word silk, this is not an ingredient in the serum. None of the ingredients used are animal derived. This product is certified vegan.

Pros: The serum absorbs quickly and does not leave a residue as promised. I noticed that when I used the serum morning and night, I saw a visible improvement in the tone and condition of my skin. The formula is also retinol free, fragrance free, sulfate free and paraben free.

Cons: In order to get good product coverage over my face, neck and chest I found myself using slightly more than the directions advised. It’s very important to extend your facial skin care routine beyond just your face and this shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Verdict: I’m really happy with this serum! I saw visible results with daily use. Just as I had read about serums, it seemed even more powerful when layered underneath a moisturizer. The light forumula was great because even though what you’re putting on your face packs some heavy duty benefits, it didn’t feel like a heavy product at all. It wasn’t greasy or oily. When I used it in the mornings, I had no problems with the wear of my makeup during the day.

If you’re new to serums or just looking to try something new, I would give Own Firming Silk Concentrate a try.

Own Lifting Eye Cream Review

Own Lifting Eye Cream Review

Finding a good eye cream can be a tough battle. There are so many out there that fall short of their claims, don’t have the right forumla or have too many fragrances. It gets even harder when you’re looking for an eye cream that not only works but also is cruelty free and vegan. Thanks to iFabbo and Own Skin Care, I had a chance to try Own Lifting Eye Cream and review it for Logical Harmony readers. Own is certified cruelty free by Leaping Bunny and is certified vegan by Vegan Action – two certifications that you can always trust.

Having been looking for a good eye cream for a while, I couldn’t wait to try this product!

Claims: Formulated to lift and smooth wrinkles while brightening skin. Reduce the appearance of crow’s feet by 61% and decrease in the total number of wrinkles around the eye area by 30%.

Ingredients: Water, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Conjugated Linoleic Acid*, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Olivate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Coco-Caprylate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Tocopherol, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Germ Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Potassium Sorbate, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

*CLA Patented Plant Technology™, not from an animal source. This product is certified vegan.

Pros: Retinol-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free and sulfate-free formula. A little bit of product really went a long way. Great for combination skin as it’s not too heavy.

Cons: The formula may be a little thin for very dry skin.

The verdict: This is the first time that I’ve ever been able to say that I saw overnight results. I was shocked! The area under my eyes was visibly brighter and firmer after just one use. Over time, this only improved. I actually found myself using less and less concealer under my eyes. My skin felt more supple and smooth as well. Since I don’t yet have fine lines or crows feet, I am not able to speak to these claims. However, if it were to address those skin issues as well as it did the others, I would give Own Lifting Eye Cream a try. I am now a true believer in this eye cream and will purchase it in the future.
