When I first switched to using all vegan beauty and household products, I was really surprised at how easy it was to find vegan nail polish. There are a lot of cruelty-free brands that offer a lot of vegan options and there are also a lot of brands that offer vegan nail polish too. A lot of people have seemed really surprised when they learn that all nail polish isn’t vegan.
People know about animal testing and what brands to avoid because of that, but not about animal ingredients that polish can contain. The short story is that a lot of brands test on animals, but a lot of nail polish also contains animal ingredients. Read more about what makes nail polish vegan and learn what these animal ingredients are.
Looking for cruelty-free drugstore brands? This guide has you covered! Many Logical Harmony readers ask for help finding good drugstore products from cruelty-free brands. Many people believe that it’s hard to find cruelty-free drugstore brands, or difficult to find cruelty-free and vegan options at the drugstore. Thankfully, there are now more cruelty-free drugstore brands than ever before!
That’s why I decided to create this list of cruelty-free drugstore brands. This guide includes brands that offer cruelty-free brands that can easily be found at drugstores or large chain stores such as Target, Ulta, CVS, Walgreens, Superdrug, Priceline Pharmacy, and more! It’s exciting to see these stores catching on to the fact that people want to purchase cruelty-free drugstore brands and to see them start to carry more and more cruelty-free options.
When it comes to a vegan manicure, it’s easy to find lots of great vegan nail polish companies and shades. However, it’s not so easy to find vegan nail polish remover. Not only do most companies test on animals but even of the ones who don’t, most use animal ingredients like gelatin and lanolin. This is why I was so excited when I found No Miss Almost Natural Polish Remover at my local Whole Foods! It’s totally vegan – not tested on animals and doesn’t contain any animal ingredients!
No Miss Almost Natural Polish Remover has no acetone, no ethyl acetate, and no animal ingredients like gelatin or lanolin. Instead it contains :
- Fruit acid solvent (methyl-pentan-2 one, Multi-Fruit Acids)
- Amber acid (derived from plant linchens)
- Deionized water
- Vitamin A
- Natural Vanilla Fragrance
If you have a bottle of nail polish remover in your house, especially if it’s from a non-vegan brand, go take a look at the list of ingredients. Odds are that it’s chemical after chemical. I love that the polish remover from No Miss contains ingredients that I can actually identify instead of tons of chemicals!
No Miss Almost Natural Polish Remover is now my new favorite vegan polish remover. It removes nail polish quickly and easily. Plus, knowing that it’s totally animal friendly makes it even better. It also has a really nice vanilla scent, not a chemical scent at all. It didn’t dry out my nails or the skin around them either like most polish removers I’ve used in the past have (it should be noted that this also means before I switched to a vegan lifestyle).
