I have long, color-treated hair, and often use heat styling tools. I also admit that I don’t trim as often as I should. To help me go longer between cuts, I rely on deep conditioning treatments to keep my hair in top shape. When fellow cruelty free beauty blogger Phyrra told me that she was releasing a hair masque, I knew I needed to get my hands on it! She colors her hair often and if it would work for her, I knew that it was worth trying.
Claims: “Phyrra’s Pretty Little Elixir has the right cocktail of ingredients to reduce the signs of external damage and return hair to its lustrous, soft state.“
Ingredients: Aqua, Quaternium-91, Behentrimonium Chloride, Myristyl Myristate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl, Silanetriol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance.
Pros: Cruelty free and vegan formula. Gluten-free. Very moisturizing. Lightweight formula. Light scent.
Cons: Only comes in the 8 ounce size.
The Verdict: A good deep conditioning treatment can make dry and brittle hair smooth and shiny. Unfortunately that often only lasts until the next day or the next wash. With Phyrra’s Pretty Little Elixir, the smoothness lingers for days! My hair felt soft, smooth and healthy days longer than it does with any other deep conditioning treatment or hair masque. I am now a huge fan of this product and will definitely re-purchase it.
