Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review January 2015

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review January 2015

When the January Vegan Cuts Beauty Box arrived recently, I realized that I have been using this service to try out new cruelty free and vegan beauty goodies for a long time. It has been really exciting to see Vegan Cuts grow and develop as a company, and to think back on past boxes and realize how far they have come. I really enjoyed both the November and December boxes. I was eager to see what items were in the January Vegan Cuts beauty box.

Some ended up being long time favorites of mine and others were completely new to me.

The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service that delivers several cruelty free and vegan items directly to your door. It can also be shipped worldwide! Prices start at $19.95 per month. It’s a great way to try new brands and new products without the commitment of buying the full-size version.

Included in the Vegan Cuts January Beauty Box that I received was:

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review January 2015

DermOrganic Intensive Hair Repair Masque – This product has actually been a staple in my shower for months now. It is one of my favorite deep conditioning treatments. It’s so hydrating! I love that I now have a travel size version to take with me. The full size is a pump bottle, so this will come in perfect for some upcoming business trips I have scheduled.

DermOrganic Daily Conditioning Shampoo – This is another product that I have used in the past and loved. I actually also have a full size bottle in my cabinet. While the formula is a bit too heavy for daily use on my fine hair, this is an amazing shampoo for anyone with dry or damaged hair. DermOrganic is one of my favorite hair care lines. I loved seeing them in this months Vegan Cuts beauty box!

Color Club Nail Lacquer in Snow Queen – This is such a sultry and gorgeous deep violet shade. It’s not a shade I would normally purchase for myself, but I thought it was so pretty and really loved the color. The polish went on smoothly and evenly. I was surprised with how dark a single coat of the polish was. I applied two coats and was able to go several days without any chips. I’m impressed!

Crazy Rumors HibisKiss Lip Color in Tropical – I love love love Crazy Rumors lip balms. Especially their coffee flavors! But I had never tried their tinted lip balms before. They are just as hydrating as the regular lip balms, but have a natural tint to them. Tropical is a pretty cherry color. It smells like candy, which I wasn’t a huge fan of. But I did really like the formula and the color of this balm.

Gourmet Body Treats Sugar & Spice Scrub – The only other product from Gourmet Body Treats that I have tried was their raw finishing powder (which was in a past Vegan Cuts box). I was curious to try their skin care items and, this time of the year, a good scrub always comes in handy. This scrub is mostly sugar and coffee. It smells SO good! It also has cinnamon, lemon, orange, and lime essential oils. This scrub was really hydrating and left my skin feeling soft and smooth. I really enjoyed it!

Modern Minerals Eye Shadow in Sakura – This was another item that I already own and use. This eye shadow was actually one of the shades I picked to include when I co-curated the Petit Vour July Beauty Box! I think it’s a really pretty highlight shade. I use it on my brow bone and inner corner of my eyes, but I also like it as a face highlight too. The Modern Minerals shadows are some of my favorite mineral eye shadows out there!

This beauty box included several full sized items and several deluxe samples. Overall I really liked this box. I got three sample size versions of products that I already own, and got to try three new products.

If you had to choose between Vegan Cuts and Petit Vour, which one would you suggest I try?

I like them both! I would suggest looking back at reviews of past boxes and seeing which may fit your personal tastes better.

Great reviews. Glad to hear positive notes about the shampoo & conditioner. I’m saving them for traveling. I dislike how that lip balm smells like candy but it’s a nice shade. I haven’t tried the eyeshadow or the nail polish, but I’m excited to now!
