The Elixery Vegan Lipstick Review

The Elixery Vegan Lipstick Review

While finding a cruelty free lipstick is easy, finding great shades that are also free of animal ingredients can be another story. Especially if you’re searching for a range that offers a mix of classic and trendy colors. The Elixery offers a mix of classic and trendy shades – from classic red to rich plum to bright pink – all of which are cruelty free and vegan. You can pick from frost, sheer and satin shades.

Pictured above, from left to right, are the shades Tempest, Starlet, Devious, Love Potion, Lakshmi, Fearless and Aviatrix.

The Elixery Vegan Lipstick Review

Pros: Each fomula really holds true to their claims, and all are highly pigmented.

Cons: The color transfers easily to other surfaces.

The Verdict: I loved the mix of shades and formulas offered by The Elixery. While not all the shades I received are necessarily my style, they definitely offer everyone’s perfect shade. Those looking for any staple lipstick will be able to find it with this brand. The sheer shades give just a hint of color and the satins so pigmented that one coat gives an incredible pop of color. They go on smoothly, feel very moisturizing, and smell like vanilla. I didn’t feel like I really needed to prep my lips with a good balm before hand. Thanks to the Jojoba and Avocado oil, these lip colors were actually hydrating. The lipsticks don’t feel heavy and also were not sticky. These lipsticks are perfect for the days you need to swipe on a pop of color and be out the door with as little fuss as possible.

Of the shades that I received, my favorites are Starlet, Lakshmi and Fearless. You can read more about The Elixery Vegan Lipsticks on The Elixery website.

I find a lot of lipsticks can look one way in the tube compared to on your lips, which is frustrating. However, these lipsticks were all very true to color. I think it would be okay to buy without trying. I’m sure that you could also inquire about their return/exchange policy as well!

I love red too, but am still not comfortable with it in public. Their red shades are great. If you can rock it, pick one up! I loved them all!

AH these look beautiful, the deep pink and bright red especially! Another lovely, mostly vegan brand is Lippy Girl… if you haven’t seen the Vegocentric line, I really recommend checking it out… the colors are so pretty and wearable
