Popular Cruelty-Free Gift Guide for People Who Love Baths Picks:
When it comes to perfume, many people are surprised to find out that most mainstream perfume brands are not cruelty-free. Is finding cruelty-free perfume tough? Not at all! There are so many amazing cruelty-free perfume brands. Many people assume that it is hard to find cruelty free and vegan perfume, but it is actually a lot easier than you may think. In the past, picking out a cruelty-free perfume or a vegan perfume often meant that you were headed to your local health food store. But did you know that even stores like Sephora carry cruelty-free perfume brands?
You can find these cruelty-free perfumes in classic spray bottles, solid perfume, and even perfume wipes. This makes it really easy to have cruelty-free perfume at home and some that you can travel with.
I get a lot of requests to do a cruelty-free travel skincare video, so I’m finally doing it! We recently went on a trip to Lush HQ in Vancouver (watch out for that vlog later!) and it seemed like the perfect time to film this because I could actually share all the cruelty-free and vegan products I brought with me. I’ll have a video on my favorite cruelty-free makeup out soon too. Continue Reading
I was introduced to Lotus Wei some time ago and have been able to try a few of their serums. The Lotus Wei Inner Peace Serum is one that I have been using for some time and recently realized that I had never talked about here on Logical Harmony. What I love about the Lotus Wei serums is that they mix the benefits of skin care with the benefits of aromatherapy. I love that well-rounded approach.
Claims:“Organic regenerative serum made from calendula-infused safflower oil, vitamin E, and five hand-collected flower essences, a gemstone essence, and organic essential oils. Experience deep peace, calm, confidence, comfort + contentment; strength + assuredness during times of high-stress. Dissolves high levels of stress & overwhelm; feeling a lack of support; nervousness, fear, lack of confidence, nervous about public speaking.”

A recent trip made me realize how important having healthy travel essentials on hand really is. It was a short trip and I wanted to pack as lightly as possible, but I also wanted to pack smart and have my plane essentials with me. It can be really hard to take care of yourself while traveling. Not only is the airport and airplane full of recycled air that can mess with your skin (and immune system!), but it can be really hard to find healthy snacks while traveling too.
For this post, I’m partnering with Orchard Valley Harvest to share my healthy travel essentials and offer one lucky winner a chance to win some snacks of their own as well as a $50 Visa gift card!

Each month I look forward to receiving the Vegan Cuts beauty box because I know that it will contain small and independent brands that are new to me. The Vegan Cuts October Beauty Box was curated by Phoebe Dykstra. I was really excited about this because we chat online about vegan beauty from time-to time. I couldn’t wait to see what items she wanted to include in this box!
The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service that delivers several cruelty free and vegan items directly to your door. It can also be shipped worldwide! Prices start at $19.95 per month. It’s a great way to try new brands and new products without the commitment of buying the full-size version.
Included in the Vegan Cuts October Beauty Box that I received was:
Floss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer in Picnic – What immediately drew me to this product was the packaging. I love the gold top to this bottle! It’s so cute. This cranberry creme shade is from the Spring/Summer 2014 Floss Gloss collection, but it’s still a great shade for fall and winter. The formula applied smoothly and evenly. The shade was also pigmented and just as pretty on as in the bottle. I really liked this polish and I love that I got to try a new brand.
Lovinah Coffee Bean-Illa Detox Body Scrub – This scrub smelled delicious! I had really high hopes for it. The product texture felt spongy and like the ingredients had separated. When I scooped it out the product consistency was dry in patches and oily in others, but during use it blended together just fine. I didn’t find it to be as moisturizing as other scrubs I have used, but I liked it overall.
Lotus Wei Inner Peace Serum – I’ve tried Lotus Wei products before in a past box from Petit Vour and enjoyed the product I received in that beauty box. This is the same product that I have tried in the past, but in a different scent. The Inner Peace scent is a combination of lavender, vetiver, geranium, and allspice. It smells great and is definitely soothing! I didn’t apply it to my face as directed due to some of the spices it contained, but I applied to pulse points. It felt cooling and the scent was calming.
Hylunia Travel Set – This set contained four travel-sized products. A Healing & Restoring cream, Facial Cleansing Gel, Facial Day Lotion, and a Night Treatment. I was a bit confused by this set. Two of the products have steps on them – one is Step 1 and the other Step 3 – but none of the other items had steps on them. I could not find an ingredient list for all of the products, so I did not try them all. The cream and night treatment were nice to use. They were hydrating and I enjoyed them.
This beauty box included several sample sized items and one full size item. The full sized item that was included retails for $8.00. I was happy with the nail polish and the serum, but not very happy with the scrub or the skin care set that was included. For me, between the nail polish and the serum alone, the value of this box did not live up to the price tag. That said, I was happy that the box introduced me to three new brands.
