Relogy Natural Acne Treatment Kit Review

Relogy Natural Acne Treatment Kit Review

When it comes to skin care, I realize that the same products don’t work for everyone. I am always trying new brands and lines to see what can help you with your skin problems. A common question is about skincare that can help clear up acne without causing irritation or dryness. Recently, Relogy sent me a three-part skincare set to try out. The Relogy Natural Acne Treatment Kit contains a cleanser, moisturizer, and spot treatment.

Claims: “Relogy combines clinical acne treatment with the benefits of natural ingredients to bring you a better kind of acne treatment and prevention in a new, gentle way. Relogy is proven effective. A key difference of Relogy from traditional acne products is that is uses natural ingredients known for their beneficial acne clearing qualities together with clinical acne medicine (derived from botanicals) in a silky oxygenated foam. This rids the skin of harmful bacteria, clears acne breakouts and gives skin what it needs to be healthy-looking, smooth and radiant.”

The Dual Action Treatment Foam is gentle enough for everyday use without drying out your skin. It is a foaming cleanser that uses oxygenated bubbles to really get into your pores to remove dirt, makeup, and oil. What is really unique about this cleanser is that you can rinse it like you would with a normal cleanser or let it dry without rinsing.

Ingredients: Salicylic Acid (from white willow bark – a multifunctional ingredient that addresses many of the systemic causes of blemishes) 0.5%, Benzalkonium Chloride 0.2% (gentle anti-bacterial often used in eye drops), Water, Sodium Laurel Sulfate (skin cleansing agent/soap derived from palm or coconut oils), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (derived from coconut oil – helps remove dirt and oil from the skin), Decyl Glycoside (derived from corn starch and coconut – helps remove dirt and oil from the skin), Sorbitol (derived from corn syrup – used to prevent moisture loss), Propylene Glycol (organic compound used as a stabilizer, delivery system and skin conditioning agent), Panthenol (a derivative of vitamin B5 used for moisturizing), PEG-75 (skin lubricant made from plant lanolin – used for moisturizing), Meadowfoam Flower Oil (extract from meadowfoam flower for moisture and anti-aging), Tetrasodium EDTA (preservative), Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot Orange) Extract (natural anti-septic to promote healing).

The Targeted Acne Spot Treatment uses seaweed extract and other natural ingredients to banish blemishes, correct dark spots and prevent scarring. This spot treatment is very effective, but still gentle enough to work on all skin types.

Ingredients: Water, Glycereth-18, Glycereth-18 Ethylhexanoate, Ethoxydiglycol, Salicylic Acid, Lactobacillus/Bean Seed Extract/Sodium Glutamate Ferment Filtrate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Hydrolyzed Chondrus Crispus (seaweed) Extract, Menthol, Bisabolol, Aminomethyl Propanol, Phenoxyethanolm Ethylhexylglycerin.

Pros: Effective for multiple skin types. Gentle enough for dry skin. Great for consistent use with problem skin, or occasional use. Paraben free. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: None.

The Verdict: I have used Relogy products before and really enjoyed them. I don’t have problematic skin, but I do have the occasional flare up due to hormones. My skin type is combination leaning towards dry, and most treatments for skin issues are too harsh and irritate my skin more than they help it. The Relogy system is different than any other acne treatment I have tried because it is so gentle. It keeps my skin clear but does not irritate or dry it out in any way. The cleanser is really light and makes my skin feel really clean. The moisturizer is great because it’s not too heavy, but still effective. At night, I tend to pair it with a serum to give my skin even more moisture. The spot treatment is amazing! Whenever I have any spots, I use it at night and by morning the spots are usually completley gone.

For those with problematic skin, the Relogy system is a great cruelty-free and vegan option to try!

  1. It’s nice that skincare like Relogy is beginning to address different kinds of acne-prone skin, like dry skin that still flares up, or like my oily skin that is also aging. Not all blemished skin is the same!
