NCLA Laurel Canyon Lolita Review

NCLA Laurel Canyon Lolita Review

Fall is the perfect time to transition into darker nail shades. Finding a great berry shade can be difficult. I want something that’s rich and pigmented. Not too bright and not too dark. Laural Canyon Lolita is a dark fuschia shade that’s a great option for fall. NCLA was kind enough to send me their North of Sunset collection to review. This collection has four shades – My Dad Invented That, Laurel Canyon Lolita, Dead-End Gorgeous, and The Spa Comes To Me.

Claims: “Our luxurious NCLA formula is high shine, quick dry and chip reisistant. Flat brush allows for a perfectly smooth application. This is not your ordinary fuchsia. It is, and dare we say it, grown up!”

Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Nitrocellulose, Triphenyl Phosphate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Diacetone Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Benzophenone-1, SD Alcohol 40-B (Alcohol Denat.), Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, May Contain (+/-):, Bismuth Oxychloride, Oxides, Blue 1, Aluminum Powder, Red 34, Red 6, Red 7, Yellow 5 Lake, Iron Oxides, Violet 2, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Isobutylphenoxy Epoxy Resin

Pros: DBP free. Toluene free. Camphor free. Formaldehyde free. Cruelty free and vegan. Pigmented shade that is identical to the shade in the bottle after two coats. Wears well without a topcoat, though best with a topcoat.

Cons: None.

The Verdict: This is one of my new favorite shades for fall! Berry shades are often too dark for my liking. I want a color that you can see! Laurel Canyon Lolita is definitely it. The dark fuschia is rich and grown up, and not too bright. I’ll definitely be wearing this shade a lot this fall and winter! If you’re looking for an alternative to the berry shades frequently on the market in fall, or just want to change things up, give this shade a try.
