Milani & Jordana Re-Certified as Cruelty Free by Logical Harmony

Milani & Jordana Re-Certified as Cruelty Free by Logical Harmony
After several ups and downs, Logical Harmony is happy to announce that Milani and Jordana are re-certified as cruelty free brands!! I am very happy to share this news with Logical Harmony readers and to add these brands back to the Cruelty Free and Vegan Brands list!

After an issue in their cruelty free status earlier this year, the brand listened to consumers and both Milani and Jordana became PETA certified as cruelty free. Because they were still unable to clearly and directly answer my questions about their animal testing stance, I did not feel comfortable certifying them as a cruelty free brand. The press statement from PETA about the brands did not address ingredient suppliers. The original issue was that Milani had stated ingredient suppliers may test on animals to comply with local and regional laws and regulations.

In the past month, Milani went through the process to become Leaping Bunny certified as cruelty free. They also have been able to clearly answer my specific questions about their animal testing stance and are now Logical Harmony certified as cruelty free as well! I have been assured in writing that the brands are have done a thorough background check on their ingredient suppliers and none test the ingredients on animals under any conditions.

Several readers have emailed both myself and My Beauty Bunny about receiving a statement from Jordana about having a distributor in mainland China. I spoke to the brand about this and have confirmed that this was a mistake on their part. Neither Milani or Jordana has a distributor in mainland China or distributes products into China.

It has been a long process with Milani, but I appreciate that they have continued to reach out to me over the past several months. We may not have always seen eye-to-eye, but I am very glad that they have been so proactive. Not just with Logical Harmony, but also by getting certifications from PETA and Leaping Bunny.

Milani has also added a vegan section to their site to make shopping easier for vegan consumers. This page links to products that have vegan formulas, though, as always, double check the ingredients of each shade before purchasing. I have also been told that Milani is in the process of updating more formulas to remove animal ingredients. This is wonderful news!
