Miakoda Ethical Fashion Try-On & Haul

Miakoda Ethical Fashion Try-On & Haul

Fashion isn’t something you’ve seen much of here on Logical Harmony, but I want to start expanding the content here and working it in where possible. I get a lot of requests for showing vegan fashion and I’ve been posting more outfits on Instagram lately. It’s been fun to try a new kind of content out. Recently I worked with Miakoda on a sponsored try-on video and wanted to share it here as well.

I’ve been wearing Miakoda for a while and love their pieces. They are a small brand run in New York City where everything is eco-friendly, sustainably and ethically made. What I love about them is that their entire brand is built around being comfortable. I feel like this means not just in their clothing, but also in your skin.

Ethical clothing is a hot issue in the cruelty-free community, and for good reason. It’s important to know what we’re supporting with our financial choices and to understand where that money goes so we can consciously pick what we’re supporting.

Is everything I own ethical and from small brands? No. I own some pieces from ethical brands and do what I can to shop second hand. I also wear things I own until they fall apart. I don’t treat fashion as disposable.

My personal take is the same as with cruelty-free beauty – we are all on our own journey and any steps matter. I don’t think it’s an all or nothing thing. Buying one piece here and there is better than doing nothing at all. It’s about picking better when and where you can, and educating yourself about how to make those better choices.

What are your thoughts on ethical fashion? Do you take the little by little approach for your wardrobe, or are you an all or nothing person? I’d love to continue the discussion in the comments.
