Lush Herbalism Face And Body Cleanser Review

Lush Herbalism Face And Body Cleanser Review

When the seasons change, sometimes my normally stable skin flares up a bit. One product I’ve been using a lot lately is Lush Herbalism Face and Body Cleanser. Recently Lush sent me several of their naturally exfoliating face and body washes to use. While I normally have dry skin, changes in weather can cause it to be oilier at times. I’ve been really loving Herbalism as my skin adjusts to a new season.

Claims: “Battling with oily, blemish-prone skin? Cleanse with Herbalism and experience the power of herbs. Its gently exfoliating, deep-cleansing base of kaolin clay and rice bran mops up excess oils, and a toning blend of rosemary, nettle and chamomile leaves skin feeling fresh, clean and calm. This gentle green giant contains chlorophyllin, which is extracted from alfalfa plants: it’s rich in nourishing vitamins and minerals, and helps to balance out your skin’s oil production. Say hello to clear, balanced skin!”

Lush Herbalism Face And Body Cleanser Review

Ingredients: Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Kaolin, Glycerine, Chlorophyllin Water (Aqua), Nettle, Rosemary, Rice Vinegar Extract (Urtica dioica, Rosmarinus officinalis), Rice Bran (Oryza sativa), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria Chamomilla), Sage Oil (Salvia officinalis), Fragrance *Occurs naturally in essential oils

Pros: Effectively exfoliates skin. Absorbs excess oil. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: May be a bit messy to use.

The Verdict: Because I have dry skin, I wasn’t sure how it would react to Lush Herbalism Face and Body Cleanser. This cleanser is geared towards those with oily skin. However, with the change in seasons, my skin has been more combination and I thought it was worth a try. Herbalism really gently exfoliates your skin with ground almonds while the clay works to remove impurities from your skin. As a result, my skin felt softer, more balanced, and less oily.

  1. I’m loving Angels on bare skin for my dehydrated/oily complexion. If you want to try a festive (and vegan) Lush alternative try Bûche de Noël. It’s just as amazing as Angels on bare skin but it smells better 🙂
