Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant Review

Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant Review

I have tried just about every natural deodorant out there. And just about every natural deodorant out there has failed me. Some more than others, some less, but in general most have just simply not been effective. Reading through online reviews, I know that I’m not the only one with this issue. So many of us would love to use a natural deodorant but we also want one that works. When I was sent the Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant to try out, I was skeptical at first but also completely intrigued.

The Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant uses activated charcoal and other ingredients to help “detox” your pits. As stated on their website, “it will take approximately 2-4 weeks for your body to adjust to The Takesumi Detox and you will soon be back to normal.” I knew that this would be a process and I was excited to try it! I dedicated myself to using the Cold Pressed Rose formula using the Kaia Naturals deodorant detox instructions and wanted to share my results with you.

Claims: “With a combination of activated charcoal and natural fermentation technology which fights odor-causing bacteria, you will stay odor free all day. Activated charcoal has a porous surface that acts like a magnet, which chemically binds substances, such as bacteria and toxins to draw them out.”

Ingredients: propanediol, aqua/water, glycerin, sodium stearate, saccharomyces ferment (bacterial enzyme), aloe (aloe barbadensis) leaf juice, sodium benzoate, caprylhydroaxamic acid (amino acid), caprylyl glycol, magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia), allantoin, charcoal powder, rose flower oil

Pros: Gel-like formula is easy to apply. Does not leave streaks on clothing. Non-irritating formula. Subtle scent. Does effectively seem to “detox” the body.

Cons: None.

Is Kaia Naturals cruelty-free? Yes. Kaia Naturals is cruelty-free with vegan options.

Is the Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant vegan? Yes. All scents of Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant are vegan.

The Verdict: The Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant is essential to your routine if you are wanting to change to natural deodorants. Trust me on this! I am now on my second tube and will continue to use it. I talked about this deodorant in my August favorites and am still using it every single day.

My body definitely went through the stages of detox that Kaia Naturals says it will. At first, it works great. Then I started to smell worse than I have ever smelled before. It was bad! I was just thankful that I work from home and no one needed to smell me. If you don’t have that luxury, pack some baby wipes and the deodorant (it also comes in a travel size!) to bring with you to work to freshen up throughout the day. By the fourth week, this went away.

Using the Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Deodorant I have noticed that my body has changed. I use it morning and night, as directed on the packaging, and it works really well. I have also noticed that when I do pair it with another natural deodorant, such as Lavanilla, that deodorant is much more effective and longer lasting than it was before I started using The Takesumi Detox Deodorant. If you are looking for a good natural deodorant, this is an absolute must-have.

  1. Hi. I have tried soooo many natural deoderants and end up so smelly by the end of the day. I am considering going back to a regular deoderant bc of this. I have already “detoxed” but still schnidtxs and primal pit paste #3 still did not stop the BO…so, my question about this really expensive deoderant is is this a detox only or also a regular deoderant? Thanks!

  2. I am trying very hard to only buy cruelty free but find that difficult when product prices are sky high. Who wants to spend $21.00 for a deodorant (such as Kaia’s brand) its prices like that that’s keeping me from my goal of staying cruelty free I’m on a fixed income and a set budget.Could you recommend some lower priced products.

  3. Great post, as always!
I’m super curious to try it out.
One question though..Why did you pair it with another natural deodorant, if this one was already working great?
    Thanks xoxo

    1. I did on a few days where it was around 100 degrees out. So I just wanted some extra protection. 🙂 I also had time in between tubes and when I waited for my new one to arrive was using Lavanilla again and noticed it worked SO much better than before I had used the Kaia Naturals.
