Want a deeper dive? StriVectin shared some exclusive comments with Logical Harmony about the changes they made as a brand.

Previously, StriVectin stated that they did test on animals as required by law. I was really interested to hear what had changed with the brand and why StriVectin no longer used that statement.

StriVectin had the following response:

StriVectin identified animal welfare as a corporate priority after being inspired by its employees, as well as many of its loyal brand fans, who are unified in their passion and commitment to the cause. While the brand effectively regained cruelty-free status two years ago, after choosing to fully exit mainland China stores in 2017.

Because required by law animal testing can happen in many markets and not just China, I also wanted to find out if they were selling in any region where animal testing could be required by law on their products. In the US and EU, as well as most regions, there are still situations where animal testing is required by law. This is usually when new ingredients and formulations have not yet proven safe for use are introduced. I also wanted to confirm that any ingredients and formulations used by StriVectin were not tested on animals as required by law.

StriVectin had the following response:

StriVectin has fully exited mainland China and does not sell in any region where animal testing is required by law. We ensure that all ingredients used for StriVectin products are not tested on animals including those purchased by our manufacturers from other laboratories. We review all ingredient source data sheets and certificates of analysis to confirm that no animal testing was performed during the development of the ingredients.
