ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder Review

ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder Review

If you have watched a makeup video here on Logical Harmony, then you know that the Too Faced Primed & Poreless setting powder is a must-have of mine. Unfortunately, it’s not the most affordable setting powder out there. I was curious if the ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder could be a potential dupe for the pressed version of Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed setting powder. For over a week, I used this powder instead of my Too Faced powder to set my makeup in the morning and for touch-ups throughout the day.

Claims: “This versatile translucent pressed finishing powder sets makeup, reduces shine, and mattifies skin. The microfine particles fill in fine lines and blur imperfections to create a soft focus effect on the skin. This powder is designed to be used with high-definition camera technology but is also perfect for everyday wear. Includes a sponge and mirror for on-the-go touch-ups!”

ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder Review

Ingredients: Silica, Dimethicone, Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Mica, Phenyl Trimethicone, Nylon-12, Polymethylsilsesquixonane, Methicone, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Pentaerythrityl, Tetraisostearate, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1

Pros: Sets makeup with a matte finish. Translucent shade that works for all skin tones. Doesn’t crease with foundation or concealer. Very finely milled pressed powder. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: Not sure if it did much to help blur the appearance of my skin.

The Verdict: The ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder is definitely worth picking up. For how affordable this powder is, it is an amazing product. I found that it applied very easily. The powder is finely milled and did a great job of setting my makeup. It didn’t crease my foundation or concealer at all, no matter what kind I used. I used this powder with a variety of foundation finishes and found that it worked well with all of them.

The only negative thing I have to say about the ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder is that it didn’t blur out imperfections in my skin as much as the Too Faced powder does. I used this powder for baking and it didn’t give me skin the same flawless appearance. That said, this is a wonderful powder for the price and a must-have for any beauty lover looking for quality items on a budget.

The ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder is available from ELF.
