ELF Lip Exfoliator Review

ELF Lip Exfoliator Review

With the rise of the liquid and matte lipsticks, more and more brands are introducing lip exfoliators. I was sent the ELF Lip Exfoliator to try out and have been using it as part of my skin care routine. I have tried several other lip exfoliators before, but never one that comes in a tube before. I was really interested to see how the ELF Lip Exfoliator would work compared to the other exfoliators that I have tried.

Claims: “Gently exfoliate lips to remove dry, chapped skin with our Lip Exfoliator! A sweet sugar and smoothing sensation, infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils to nourish and protect. This Lip Exfoliator treats and smoothes lips for a conditioned and revitalized feel.”

ELF Lip Exfoliator Review

Ingredients: Sucrose, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Ozokerite, Fragrance (Parfum), Synthetic Candelilla Wax, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Ve)

Pros: Very gentle. Leaves lips soft. Works quickly and mess-free to help exfoliate lips. Comes in three scents. Cruelty-free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: Contains fragrance, which may be irritating to some.

The Verdict: The ELF Lip Exfoliator is a product I grab to help my lips look and feel soft. I like that it comes in a tube, which makes it perfect for traveling with. To use this lip exfoliator, I apply it in circular motions to exfoliate and then wipe away with a warm washcloth and follow up with a nice lip balm. It does help my lips look and feel smoother. While there are other lip exfoliators that will give your lips a better scrub, they are messier to use than the ELF Lip Exfoliator. This is a staple in my travel beauty routine.

Have you tried the ELF Lip Exfoliator before? What did you think of it?

  1. When the cold weather started to really kick in my lips started to look rather sad, and I was just about to look for a way to give them some extra care when this review got published. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of lip exfoliators before 😀 but this product seemed to be exactly what I was looking for (kudos for the lazy-proof tube-design!), so I ordered it shortly after. With overseas shipping and the holiday period approaching, my package took its time to arrive, but today I finally received it 🙂 Can’t wait to try this out!
