Did you know that the Cruelty Free and Vegan Brand List on Logical Harmony is updated at least once a week? In an effort to make it easier for you to know what changes are happening, we are now publishing a weekly update. This lets you easily see what brands have been added to the list!

What will be included in these updates? A list of brands that have recently been added to the cruelty free list, a list of brands that have been added to the grey area list, a list of brands that have been added to the brands to avoid list, and a list of pending brands.

New Cruelty Free Brands – These brands are completely free of animal testing. They also either have vegan options or, if noted by “100% vegan”, are currently a completely vegan line.

  • Blinc
  • Box Naturals – 100% vegan!
  • Epic Blend
  • GladRags
  • IsaDora
  • Me & You – 100% vegan!
  • Nonie of Beverly Hills – 100% vegan!
  • Nurture My Body
  • Soapbox Soaps
  • Sun and Earth – 100% vegan!
  • True Natural
  • Ursa Major – 100% vegan!
  • W.S. Badger

New Grey Area Brands – Being on this list does not mean that these brands test on animals. It means that we require additional information in order to add these brands to the cruelty free section of the list and have asked these brands for that additional information or clarification.

  • INIKA

New Brands to Avoid – These brands have a stance on animal testing that Logical Harmony is not comfortable with. This could mean that they test on animals, take part in required by law animal testing, work with 3rd parties or suppliers who test on animals, or that they do not ask or require their ingredient suppliers be cruelty free. This can also mean that these brands will not provide any sort of animal testing statement about their current practices and policies. These brands are best to avoid because animal testing may be involved at some point.

  • Collection Cosmetics
  • Giorgio Armani Beauty
  • Keraskin Esthetics
  • Kinerase
  • Max Factor
  • St. Ives

New Pending Brands – Logical Harmony has reached out to these brands at least seven days ago about their cruelty free status and has yet to receive a response. We are constantly reaching out to brands, but understand that it may take them longer than 7 days to get back to us.

  1. Hi! Thank you for these updates. I have a suggestion to add explanation to Grey area list brands, so that readers can decide for themselves whether they’re comfortable with the brand or not.

    1. Hi Cathy,

With Grey Area brands, they often give an unclear and generic response about animal testing. They stay on that list if they are unable to give any clarification I can see what you mean about how it may be helpful, but I think it would be more confusing for people to read a lot of unclear statements from brands.

      1. Hi Tashina,

I understand what you mean, but what I meant was to include something similar to: (aren’t clear about ingredient suppliers) or (gave generic we don’t test response and won’t clarify further)

Just a simple sentence that will explain the reason for the brand being placed on that list. I see you have been doing it with other updates though! 🙂

  2. Hi Tashina! I love the work you’re doing here. Love how thorough you are and I’ve learned so much from your site as I have recently made the change to CF and Vegan products. While it can be confusing it’s totally worth it to do the research and become more aware of what is really happening. In my opinion it is much more important to my heart to protect our sweet animals than to get that perfect eye shadow look. Thank you for doing what you do and by us all joining together we can make a difference.

  3. I’m glad to see you added Isadora to the cruelty free list! It’s one of my favorite brands, since it’s swedish, cruelty free, affordable and always good quality!

    1. Hi Shenan!

Collection Cosmetics has never been listed as cruelty free by Logical Harmony, so I am not sure about their past animal testing stance. They told me that they themselves do not test their finished products are tested on animals, but that the items may be tested by 3rd parties as raw ingredients, during production, or as finished products. They would not clarify if they themselves test on animals during production.

      1. Ah… Ok that makes sense. I think I read on a blog somewhere a while ago (when i first started buying CF) that they didn’t sell in China so I must have assumd all was well! Unfortunately not, but at least there’s more brands out there to try. And I wouldn’t want to waste tim/money on a company that doesn’t give a clear response. Thank you for your reply! 🙂

          1. Yes totally agree! And if there is nothing to hide then why be so closeted?!
Also, do you have any information on the Boots (drugstore) own brand cosmetics and Soap & Glory? I’m pretty sure they’re primarily a UK brand, but i’ve only found information from them which states they are totally CF (from other respectable blogs and my own communication) but would love to be 100% certain. Thanks in advance! 🙂

          2. Hi, sorry to bother you again Tashina but i’ve just read “The Vegan Taff’s” newest post and she has ‘confirmed’ through Collection the complete opposite.. i am very confused as to what stance Collection have now… Thanks in advance! 🙂

          3. No bother at all, Shenan! I am not sure what questions The Vegan Taff asks brands. The response that she received is different than what I was told but, again, we likely do not ask the same questions. Based on our recent correspondence with them, they are not a brand I would suggest avoiding. I can say that if I received the same response as The Vegan Taff, I would not be comfortable saying they are cruelty free either.

          4. Okeydoke, well I think i’ll have to email them myself and see what kind of response I get (if i company is telling people different things thats not ideal…) thanks again for replying, it’s really admirable that you’re so intouch with all your followers! Have a good day 🙂

          5. I agree – inconsistent responses are never a good sign. Kelly runs a great blog and I think she does an amazing job with checking with brands. Perhaps us receiving and posting different information will force the brand to get things together. 🙂
