Andalou Naturals All-in-One Beauty Balm Sheer Tint Review

2013 was the year of the BB Cream. It seems like every cosmetic company and skincare line released one. There may be a lot of BB Creams on the market, but each one I have tried is very different and very unique from the others. I received the All-in-One BB Cream to review from Andalou Naturals. Its claims were different than other Beauty Balms that I have tried and that made me curious to try it out.

Claims: “Fruit Stem Cell Complex is the star of this multi-benefit BB, blending superfruit antioxidants, nourishing moisturizers, and broad spectrum protection with natural mineral-tint color for sheer, flawless coverage in one easy step.”

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Juice, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) and Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oils, Sorbitan Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Fruit Stem Cells (Malus Domestsica, Solar Vitis) and BioActive 8 Berry Complex, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Hyaluronic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Oil, Algae and Cucumis Melo (Melon) Extracts, Magnesium Sulfate, Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos), Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis and Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Extracts, Iron Oxide, Phenethyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil

Pros: Cruelty free and vegan. Free of GMO’s, gluten, paraben preservatives, petrochemicals, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic colors, dyes and fragrances. Very light formula that goes on smoothly and evenly. Contains SPF 30.

Cons: The shade is fair. While it’s a sheer tint, it may be too light in color for most skin tones.

The Verdict: Overall, I liked the Andalou Naturals All-in-One Beauty Balm Sheer Tint. I found that the formula was smooth, creamy, and sheer. I would say that it lives up to its claims. I applied evenly using a foundation brush and I felt that it did brighten my complexion. When applied with my fingers, the formula still went on well. My only issue was the very light shade of the formula. I felt that I could not wear the product alone or my skin would look washed out and pale. If you have medium or dark skin, this BB cream would be great mixed with darker formulas of other BB Creams or foundations. I love this beauty balm for winter or any time of the year when your skin is looking a little dull. I mixed it with my foundation and it acted as a general highlighter – it made my entire face appear brighter and more alive.

  1. I still have yet to try Andalou, but after months of resisting, I’m starting to get more open to BB Creams. I’m liking them more as primer/sunscreen products than a replacement for foundation. I’m glad this worked for you. If it was a bit pale for you, it probably would be for me too, but could still work under foundation
