Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer Review

Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer Review

Last year, Too Faced launched the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. There was a lot of buzz around this primer and, to be honest, I avoided trying it for a long time because I thought it was just buzz. I continued to hear about this primer and finally purchased it a couple of months ago. Shortly after, Too Faced sent me another tube of Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer to review. I was skeptical of this primer but because I tend to have good luck with Too Faced products, I wanted to give it a try.

Claims: “When long days of work and late nights of play give you a beauty hangover, this is your instant cure. Hangover is a revolutionary makeup primer infused with coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers that work together to boost skin’s radiance, promote elasticity and help hydrate while locking down makeup for fresher, longer and more flawless wear. We harnessed the science of hydration to create a creamy, penetrating primer that acts like an energy drink for the skin by replenishing moisture levels. It can be worn alone for a dewy, healthy looking finish or under bronzers, foundations and powders to create the perfect canvas.”

Pros: Great for dry skin. Smooth formula. Absorbs quickly. Does not have a strong scent. Natural finish. Paraben free. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: May not work well for those with oily or combination skin. If you are looking for a mattifying primer, this is not the one for you.

The Verdict: The Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer is truly one of the best primers that I have tried. The hype around this primer is real! My skin looks so glowing and fresh when I use this primer. In fact, since I started using it I have been getting a lot of comments on YouTube videos and Instagram photos about how glowing my skin looks. I have dry/combination skin, so this primer is perfect for me. On hot days, it can make me look a little too glowing, but I think that it will be an amazing primer to have in the fall and winter.

  1. I also love this primer, and haven’t figured out why it doesn’t get more love. I have very dry, very sensitive, stupidly reactive skin, and can’t wear anything with cones of any sort (silicone, dimethicone etc). This primer gives me extra moisture, and allows me to wear a little bit of makeup (which I otherwise couldn’t as my skin is so dry). Given the rarity of cruelty free and cone free primers, I’m stuffed if they stop making this!
