Petit Vour June 2015 Beauty Box Review

The Petit Vour June 2015 Beauty Box was put together to celebrate the companies two-year anniversary. It contained some great haircare, skincare, and cosmetics to try. It has been amazing to see how Petit Vour has grown over the past couple of years. There are so many amazing things about this brand that make it worth supporting. Not only do they select the best cruelty free and vegan items for the boxes, but everything is handled with such care. They are a brand who truly cares about their customers and it really shows.

For those who are not yet familiar with Petit Vour, they offer a monthly beauty box. Everything inside the Petit Vour beauty box is cruelty free, vegan, and natural. I give a quick review of all the items included in the box in this post. Look for more detailed reviews of some of the individual products soon!

Petit Vour June 2015 Beauty Box Review

Meow Meow Tweet Face Cleanser –  I have heard really great things about Meow Meow Tweet skin care. In fact, I have a friend who uses only their products and has told me about how great they are. I’ve used their deodorant, but never their actual skin care before so I was really excited to see this in the Petit Vour box! This cleanser uses plant oils (sunflower, coconut, castor, jojoba and more) mixed with other ingredients like witch hazel to gently cleanse skin. I used this with and without my Foreo Luna and really liked it. Look for a full review soon! You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

100% Pure Facial Cleansing Brush – As I mentioned above, I recently received the Foreo Luna, which is an electric facial brush. This cleansing brush from 100% Pure has the same idea in mind as the electric brushes – they help you really cleanse your skin in a way that you cannot easily do with just cleanser and water. I expected this brush to be really gentle on my skin, but found that it was actually a bit too rough. I can see this being good for those looking for an alternative to the electric facial brushes out there, but I think that I will stick with my Foreo for the time being. I will, however, use this cleansing brush to start a dry brushing routine. You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

FiOR Minerals Organic Eyeliner in Brown Sugar – The formula of this liner is really pigmented and it applies very smoothly. I received Brown Sugar, which is a rich chocolate brown with a semi-matte finish. The shade is really pretty! I do not normally like brown liners, but this is one that I can definitely see using on a regular basis. For me, one of the pros of this liner was also a con. It’s very creamy. This means that it goes on very smoothly and leaves rich color, but it does smudge. I think it’s perfect for smudging out to create a smoky eye. You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

Jacq’s Organics Green Smoothie Scrub & Masque – This masque contains activated bamboo charcoal to draw out impurities, as well as sea kelp and fatty acids to restore Vitamins to your skin and combat free radical. I was a bit nervous to try it as some masques can be too harsh for my skin. I have to say that this was one of the better natural masques that I have used! It’s a powder formula, which I always like because you can adjust the ratio of product to water or serum. My skin felt really soft and looked more radiant after using this masque. I did also feel that it helped balance my skin out. I will be using it more and posting a full review soon! You can buy this product directly from Petit Vour.

The Petit Vour June 2015 Beauty Box introduced me to new brands and some new items. I was the most impressed with the Meow Meow Tweet cleanser and definitely want to try more of their products. The Jacq’s masque will be great to add into my regular skincare routine for the rest of this month. The FiOR Minerals eye liner was a gorgeous shade, and I am intrigued about other products that they make. Overall, I think that this was a great box. Especially for those looking for new skin care products.

  1. This was my first Petit Vour box and boy and I excited about our relationship! I haven’t had a chance to relax long enough to try the mask but my face loves the Meow Meow Tweet cleanser! I’m a longtime FiOR fan too and like you, brown liners aren’t my first, second or third choice. However, this one is a nice change from my usual go-to silvers and blacks. Lastly, I found the brush a little too abrasive for facial cleansing but it works wonders on my elbows.

I love this box and I really love Petit Vour, especially since they’re out of Dallas and us Texas vegans need to support one another!

  2. That scrub/mask sounds divine. I love charcoal masks. I wear brown eyeliner quite often, so getting that one would be a win for me, but if it’s too creamy, it’ll slide right off my oily lids.

  3. I love the brown sugar Fior liner! I found that it stayed put nicely with a little wet n wild shadow primer. Without the primer it dissappears on me, especially on the lower lash line. But the color some how has a brightness to it that perks up my eyes.
