Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance Review

I have been really curious about the Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops since they first launched. These drops claim to bring the benefits of skincare to your makeup routine and to give your current skincare routine a boost. Recently Cover FX sent me a package and I was so excited that the  Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance were included. I couldn’t wait to put them to the test! I tried them with several foundations and mixed into my skincare routine to see just how well they worked.

Ingredients: Phenyl Trimethicone, Squalene, Balanites Roxburghii Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Cymbopogon Flexuosus Oil, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Citral, Limonene

Pros: Adds extra skin care benefits to any product. Really great to use to customize the coverage of foundation, concealer, etc. Can also be used alone. Very hydrating. Not greasy or thick. Cruelty-free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: Not necessarily a con, but it can take some time to figure out which foundations you like mixing these drops with. I found that some worked great with these drops but it did sheer out the formula of others. Take your time with that process and don’t rush them into your routine before a big event or busy day if you don’t know how they will mix with your foundation or other products.

The Verdict: The Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance are such a great addition to your beauty routine. I was nervous to use them at first. I wasn’t sure if they would work well with my foundation and other products. Would they still apply the same? Would the coverage be the same? What about the wear time? I had so many questions. I tested out the Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance with several of my favorite foundations to see how they worked with my makeup and added them into some of my skincare to see how they changed my skincare routine.

Adding them to my makeup was overall a huge success. Most foundations worked well when mixed with these drops. They mixed in evenly, the foundation applied the same, it didn’t change the coverage or wear time, and worked well with my other face products. There were a couple of foundations that the drops weren’t amazing with, but none I tried where the results were bad. In the worst situations, the foundation applied a bit more sheer than it normally does. Nothing that can’t be dealt with. I did notice that the Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance seemed to work the best with medium-to-full coverage foundations such as those from Cover FX, BECCA, and Too Faced. I tried it with a mix of high and low-end products and the only time there were coverage issues was with the lower end products. I am inclined to think that this may have to do more with the foundations than the drops. My skin felt a lot more hydrated throughout the day, stayed very smooth, and I didn’t develop dry spots during the day like I sometimes do.

Mixing the Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance into my skincare was another fun experiment. I added them to other serums, moisturizers, night creams, and even to a powdered face mask. In all situations, my skin felt and looked better. Since starting this experiment I have noticed a visible improvement in how my skin looks and it feels significantly softer.

I think that the Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance are a must-try for any skincare addict. There are currently four different kinds – each targeted towards different needs. It’s fun to try such a unique product and I definitely saw results from it.

  1. But the ingredient list says SQUALENE which is shark oil, how is this vegan? It hasnt mentioned anything about vegetable squalene or plant derived squalene and that is always spelt with an A.

    1. Squalene can come from animals or plants. Some spell it with an “e” and some with an “a”. From what I have found in talking to a lot of brands is that the spelling no longer determines the source and they use them interchangeably. More and more, brands are using squalene derived from olives.

  2. I’m so happy that I found your site and YouTube Channel. Super helpful! I wanted to ask and see if you thought these drops would work well with their Foundation drops?
